She was running as fast as she could, but no matter how fast she ran, it kept catching up to her. It kept pinning her down, leaving her gasping for breath. It kept wrapping it's hands round her throat and squeezing till the moon went blurry. It kept going until the world went black. It never stopped, never changed. Always the same one. She was thrashing around in Scott's bed, screaming, trying to catch a breath. Suddenly, a voice could be heard, but it wasn't threatening, it was comforting. "Hey, hey, calm down, it's just me!" Hayden opened her eyes to see her alpha staring at her with a look of concern and confusion. She sat up, took in her surroundings, and looked at the clock. 4am. She put her head back on the pillow and sighed. Scott grabbed her hand. " Hayden. You need to tell me what's going on right now. Deaton's on his way over, Liam went to phone him. What's happening to you?" Hayden's eyes filled with fear. "It's him" she whispered. "He's here, in Beacon Hills. I don't know how  I know, I just, do. It was him the other night too. I don't know what he wants." Hayden buried her face in the pillow, leaving Scott very confused. Liam returned. "He'll be 20 mins." He slid into bed beside Hayden and lifted her head onto his chest. She looked up at him, and he saw her eyes filled with fear and pain. Scott didn't object, and the three sat on the bed waiting for Deaton. When the doorbell finally rang, Melissa McCall answered it, and was very surprised, and not very happy, to find Deaton standing on her doorstep in what was supposedly, his pyjamas. He was carrying a black bag and looked exhausted. "I'll make some coffee" she said, and let him in. Scott came downstairs and found Deaton. "She's upstairs. At first, we thought it was just a normal night mare, but apparently, it's something a lot more sinister." Deaton listened carefully. "Well, hopefully I can confirm that for you." He followed Scott to the bedroom, and when he saw Hayden, quickly sussed out the this was not parasomnia, extreme or otherwise. He knelt down beside Hayden and looked at her eyes. Scott and Liam stood behind him looking worried. " I can give her pills to stop the nightmares, but there's someone who could deal with this a lot better than me. I suggest you take Hayden to see Lydia in the morning." Scott sighed "Yeah okay. Thanks for coming over, I'll see you at work tomorrow?" Deaton nodded and began heading out the room. "Scott, you'll need to take Hayden home at some point tomorrow. She'll be okay, she just needs too rest." Scott walked Deaton out, and Deaton turned to him. "Knowing what dreams normally mean around here, I would be careful Scott. Very careful." With that, Deaton left, and Scott returned to his room. He found Hayden lying in Liam's arms on his bed, but instead of saying anything, just shook his head and retired to his nest on the floor.
