How could you?

Hayden stared out of her window, bleary eyed. She was sitting in the chair that faced her back garden, covered with her duvet. This was the only other place she would go other than her bed, and the bathroom. She would sit here for hours, until she got too cold, and then she would migrate to the warmth of her bed, and huddle there under the covers till the early hours of the morning. That's how she had behaved for the last week. She refused to eat, and kept her door locked. She just wanted to be left alone. She had made a huge mistake, possibly the biggest mistake she had ever made. She had lost him, lost him forever. He was gone, gone so far that even Scott couldn't pull him back. She watched as the trees swayed gently in the wind, and she wished to be out there. But she couldn't. She had broken the love of her life's heart, all because of some stupid party and jealousy. She'd always been jealous. When she was 11 and Val got her first car, Hayden was jealous. When Val got a sweet sixteen party, Hayden was jealous. When Valerie got her first boyfriend, Hayden was jealous. She hated it, but she couldn't help it. One stupid mistake, and now the person she thought she was going to spend the rest of her life with, was gone. She sobbed a little, and hid her face with the duvet. She hated this. He hadn't returned a single one of her 400 calls, hadn't texted her back. He'd opened them, so at least she knew he was alive. When her phone buzzed, she grabbed it hopefully, turning it on and her eyes searching the screen hungrily. But her face fell when she saw that it was just Lydia. A tear rolled down her cheek as she read her friend's text.

Lydia: Right. I have had enough of this. I'm coming over with a tub of ice cream and my pyjamas. Prepare for a netflix binge xx

Hayden smiled a little, loving how Lydia knew exactly what she needed. She got up and tidied her room a bit. She chucked an extra duvet on her bed, and piled up the blankets and cushions. She got her laptop out and changed into pyjama bottoms and a grey t-shirt, before going to let Lydia in. She opened the door to find Lydia dressed in a very similar outfit to hers, and with the promised tub of ice cream. Hayden began to cry heavily before Lydia stepped into the house and hugged her tightly. Hayden sobbed uncontrollably while Lydia just guided her up the stairs and into her bedroom, which had been transformed into every girls dream. Lydia made herself comfortable and put an arm round Hayden. The two girls sat close, watching the infamous Pretty Little Liars, and eating the large tub of Haagen Daaz ice cream. Hayden sniffled, and leant on Lydia. She was so glad to have someone who understood.

*Flashback*

Hayden was dancing with Liam, wearing nothing but a miniskirt and bralette. She danced seductively with him, his hands on her waist. He'd turned up outside her door yesterday, and the couple had been inseparable ever since. Hayden pressed her forehead to his, and whispered to him.  "I love you." Liam smiled and placed a hand on her lower back, bringing her into a passionate kiss. He pulled away gently, and said something about going to get drinks. Hayden nodded and turned to dance on her own for a bit. She laughed as she saw Lydia and Stiles attempting to discreetly sneak off into the back room. She saw Scott dancing with some random girl, and looked away guiltily. She turned to look for Liam, and when she finally saw him, her heart broke in two. He had his arms wrapped around some senior, and was kissing her. She sobbed, and fell to the ground. But anger took over, and she stood up suddenly. She knew what she had to do. She stormed over to where Scott was dancing with the same girl, and she roughly pulled him away. She draped her arms around his neck, and swayed with him. As if Scott wasn't surprised enough, she then reached up and kissed him deeply. He kissed her back, running his fingers through her hair. She pulled away first, out of breath, and turned to see Liam staring at them. She smirked and said, "Serves you right." But then her heart wrenched as she saw the look in his eyes. And then she regretted everything. She wanted to run over to him and kiss him, but he was gone before she could. He was gone.

I know, I know. Pleas don't hate me? Sorry for the short chapter, will post again tomorrow. Just adding a little plot twist so you hate me for a bit... Sorry! See ya x
