Hayden took a deep breath and stepped out of the car. She looked at her house, which was in complete darkness. That was surely a good sign? Liam came and stood beside Hayden, taking her hand and reassuring her. Hayden gave him a weak smile and turned to look at him. "Liam? I think you should stay in the car, just in case she's found out already." Liam nodded and kissed her gently, before letting go of her hand. Hayden carried on up the path, turning round just once to see Liam getting back in the car. She reached the front door, and closed her eyes before knocking lightly. She stepped back, and turned around. She saw Liam sitting on his phone, staring intently at the screen. Hayden spun when she heard the door opening. Valerie was standing there with a half smile on her face, but it disappeared completely when she saw who it was. She reached out and yanked Hayden inside. Hayden only had time to scream before the door slammed shut and she was in darkness. Hayden began to cry. Valerie obviously knew. She felt herself being dragged up the stairs. She never knew Val was this strong before. Hayden gasped as her head hit the wooden floor sharply. She smelt the metallic tang of blood and winced. She just hoped Liam was feeling particularly attentive. Maybe he'd smell the blood and come. Hopefully he would. Valerie dropped Hayden on the floor of her room. Hayden sobbed and sat up shakily. She looked at Valerie. Her eyes were red. She'd been crying. When she spoke, there were hints of disappointment, hatred and longing all at the same time. "Hayden Romero, how could you do this to me? I slaved away for 12 years trying to raise you, and what do you do in return? Go and sleep with the first guy you meet, and get yourself pregnant. And he's not even the guy you 'love'. You just had to go with the werewolves, didn't you? Why wasn't I enough for you?" Hayden looked at the ground. "It's not true." Valerie scoffed. "As if. You're knocked up, and you're going to take responsibility for your actions. I betcha that McCall is as far as possible right now, and he's lucky. If he wasn't, I'd kick his ass and then shoot him. Hayden, you are grounded. So, grounded." Hayden laughed and sobbed simultaneously. "Really? That's the best you can do? Ground me. Right. Okay then. I still go to school. I still see the boy I love. And yes, I do love him. But you will never tear us apart. You have tried and failed. I'm not pregnant. I didn't sleep with Scott. Rumours aren't always true. And you. My own sister. You don't believe me. Well, go ahead, test me. All you'll get it what I've just said. And you will never break apart Liam and I. We are bound. Even if we stop being in love, which we won't, we are family." Hayden took a deep breath before this next part. "We are a pack, and nothing can rip us apart." Hayden looked up at Valerie, her eyes glowing. Valerie stepped back, staring at her in horror. Hayden got to her feet, eyes glowing. "I never told you because you hate werewolves. And I don't want you to hate me." Valerie gulped. "I, uh, don't hate you. But this- this is a surprise. You won't see him again. Ever. Or Scott. Ever. I will not let this be who you are. You are not a monster." Now it was Hayden' turn to look horrified. "What? I don't understand." Valerie smiled, and lurched forward, grasping Hayden's wrist. She clamped a chain on it, and the metal instantly burned Hayden's skin. Her eyes glowed bright and her claws came out, and she let out a roar filled with anguish and pain.

Liam sat up. He'd been asleep for a bit now, but he'd been woken up by something. He didn't know what it was, but it worried him. He looked a Hayden's house. It was still in darkness, and nothing seemed to be wrong. He was going to go back to sleep when he heard it. The roar made his heart wrench, and he recognised it instantly. Hayden! Liam rushed out of the car, and jumped straight to her window. He knew Val, and didn't expect to be let in. He was surprised when he found her window opened. He looked in hesitantly, and went pale when he saw what was inside. Hayden was chained to her bed, and the room reeked of wolfsbane. Liam knew he was going to be ambushed if he didn't leave soon, so he hurriedly wrote a note on the back of a receipt and left it on her window ledge.

Looks like we're back to old times. I'll find out eventually what happened. I promise, I'll get you outta here. I love you okay? See you soon babe xx\
