Coughing, Liam sat up. He looked around in terror. The room was dark, and he could barely see anything. He tried to call out, but his throat was dry, and no sound came out. He breathed shallowly, sensing a faint smell of Wolfsbane. He tried to remain calm, realising the was tied to a pipe. Suddenly he remembered Hayden, and he smacked his head off the wall hard as he remembered. As he was dragged away, he had looked back and seen the house ablaze. He just hoped Scott and got there on time. He yelled in anguish, crying tears of rage at the mere idea of Hayden being gone. He breathed carefully, becoming weaker by the minute. Eventually, he struggled to his feet. He stumbled forward, and stopped himself with a stone pillar. His eyes began to adjust. He was surrounded by cement walls. And one small, high up window. A basement? Suddenly, it hit him. He was here. The one place he hoped he'd never be. This was it. His worst nightmare.

Hayden turned over, and winced as she put pressure on her cuts. She moaned, and Scott was instantly at her side. "Hayden? You okay?" He said softly. She nodded and winced again. Feeling her head, he calmed down. She was beginning to heal. His mom came in and she checked under the bandage that lay across Hayden's chest. Her face was grim. Scott closed his eyes. He took Hayden's hand, and tried to imagine something happy. Hayden relaxed, feeling the pain ebb away slowly. Scott stayed strong, absorbing as much as he could take. He saw Liam and Hayden in a meadow, and they were holding hands, staring at the sky. He opened his eyes, and saw Hayden smile a little. Letting go, he walked to the corner of her room. Taking out his phone, he opened his notes.
To Do: Save Liam, Get Hayden Healed. Find whatever /whoever did this.
Sighing, Scott put his phone away. He glanced at his screensaver. 'Wish you were here Allison.' He thought. He wiped his eyes fiercely. Lydia came in, and put her arms round him. Scott hugged her back tightly. He tried to say something, but she stopped him. "It's okay." Scott let his tears fall freely, and from that moment on, swore not to let Liam and Hayden experience the same amount of pain he had had. Lydia looked at him. She saw the resolve in his eyes, and smiled. Considering the amount of shit he'd been through, he was doing well. She hugged him again quickly, then went and sat beside Hayden's bed. Without looking at him, she said: "Hey, go home. Get some sleep. Have a shower. See you tomorrow." Scott nodded and sniffed. On his way out, he saw his mom, and hugged her tightly. "Oh my boy. What am I going to do with you?" Melissa ruffled his hair and went into Hayden's room. Scott put his hands in his pockets and walked toward the hospital doors. He had some business to deal with, and he didn't intend to fill anyone else in on it.
****************************"Arghhhhh leave me alone!" Liam staggered towards the door, but was knocked down once more by the shadowy figure that was intent on torturing him. The creature roared, and then was silent. Liam squinted into the darkness. A soft chuckle came from the back of the room, and Liam spun round. He grabbed rope from behind him, and the man laughed again. With a flick of his wrist, the rope bound Liam to a pillar. "Your attempts to escape are adorable. But, I feel bad. If you can get out, you can go. Be free, go back to your girlfriend." Liam's eyes widened, and he instantly broke through the ropes. And then he stopped in his tracks. "H-Hayden? " There she was, in front of him. Bleeding, and tied to a similar pillar he had been. He stumbled forward, but every time he looked up, she seemed to be further and further away. Eventually, it hit him. Literally. He smacked into the wall, and everything went black...

Hayden rolled over. She groaned, and instantly, someone was at her side. It was Mason. She saw Corey in the corner, asleep. Mason looked in her eyes. She smiled weakly. He sat her up gently, and she nodded her thanks. He shook his head, and she sighed. Her eyes were round and hopeful, but he shook his head again. She tried to roughly brush away a tear that had begun rolling down her cheek. When she failed, Mason did it for her. He hugged her gently. She tried to say something, but he stopped her. "Hayden, you're not allowed to speak. Your wounds are taking way too long to heal, and your throat is still a wreck. Take it slow, kay?" Hayden nodded. Mason patted her shoulder, and retreated to where Corey was beginning to wake up. Hayden rolled over, trying to get comfy again. She winced as she leaned on her cuts, and sighed. "Where are you Liam?" she whispered to herself. And with that, she fell asleep, dreaming of a dark place with stone pillars and an indescribable beast...
