Another downpour had just passed over the forest. The rain thick and heavy. It had taken us by surprise in the early morning hours after we reached the northern guard tower. The platform had been abandoned because spiders had attacked, and we had been sent to help. Alagos had sent the injured back to the Kingdom, which had left only the ones in Voronwë's company behind, except for Aronhir who had sustained a small injury because he had pulled me out of the way, cursing at me to stop daydreaming once again.

That hadn't been the first time Aronhir had done it. His ability to remain aware of what happened around him, never seized to amaze me. He had also kept Charanthir from charging headfirst into a group of spiders once because he had been overly confident with himself and his abilities. We had only counted a few spiders at first, but more soon joined in. We were outnumbered and too close to their spawning place.

When the rain started to fall again, I was dragged out of my thoughts. I couldn't help but linger in the middle of the platform, knowing I could do little against it because very few leaves had started to grow on the branches overhead, creating little to no cover for us. I inhaled deeply, my head tilting backwards as the rain began to fall. In a matter of seconds, we were all drenched once again.

Charanthir and Voronwë lent up against the trunk of the tree but even there they were hardly shielded from the rain. I heard Adlanna's groan when the first drops hit her, she and Nendir sought cover under a few thicker branches with a few more leaves on the opposite side of the platform. I smiled but remained where I was. The atmosphere had been heavy with frustration, but the water seemed to wash it away.

When I opened my eyes again, I found that both Voronwë and Charanthir were looking at me. I smirked playfully when Charanthir shook his head. It had been a few days since we saw his brother. He had become even quieter since then. I truly wanted to be there for him, but I didn't know what to do. When Charanthir kept smiling at me, I offered him my hands, gesturing for him to come join me.

I knew I had everyone's attention then. Charanthir arched a brow but pushed away from the tree nonetheless. With three steps, he stood before me and took my hands before yanking me towards him. Our chests collided before we started to dance again. It was what he had done for me not long ago. Our laugher filled the platform, creating joy in the others as well. Before I knew it, Nendir had dragged Adlanna out as well.

Voronwë were the only one who lingered beside the trunk, eyes wholly on Charanthir and I as we danced around. The constant worry in his eyes had softened substantially, he had read my intentions even before Charanthir took my hands. "Hannon le. (Thank you)." He mouthed and extended a hand to me that had been resting on his chest. Even he was grateful for my actions.

Unfortunately, our dancing didn't last long because we were disturbed by Alagos and his company who had come to take over for the day. I was still chuckling when we began the return to the kingdom. There was even a smile to trace on Charanthir lips as he ran ahead of me and Voronwë.
