Ch. 9 Moonlarks and Sand Hearts Hey it rhymes!

HEY GUYS!! So Nightfall is coming out this fall *Fan girl attack* and I can't wait to read it! I'll try to update once a day(Maybe every once in a while twice but probally not) *Fingers crossed*! Keefe's POV

Moonlarks. I'd never been this close to them before! I'd seen them at Everglade but they were always to far away to notice much or find them very interesting. "Sliver, Kadence!" Sophie called. two out of the five Moonlarks swam over. "I thought they lived alone" I said, "Depends" Sophie murmured "They are left alone at birth but there parents follow them around at arms length to make sure they're safe, but as adults they choose how they live." "Woah since when has Ms. F become a bird expert?"  Foster began to blush "You don't find it dorky?" "Not at all" I replied putting my arm around her shoulder. She leaned on my shoulder. "Well that's a first". "What is?" I asked. "That I'm not Dorky" She grinned, "If anyone finds you dorky we can be dorks together." I said as I looked down at her and smirked, "Dorks forever" she agreed. Sliver and Kadence walked over and began to talk?

Silver: Hello Sophie it's been awhile.

Kadence: Yes yes you finally visit!

Sophie petted there heads before replying "Yes it has, Its good to see you both. How's Drake and Shade?" "Drake? Shade? Kadence? Sliver? Uhm someone help me please!" I said

Sliver: Sorry, Hello my name is Sliver and this is Kadence, We live her with three other Moonlarks in Gaze bay. Shade, Drake, and Lucian[Loo-sh-en] are the others.

Kadence: Shade is the White and blacky-blue one, Drake is the gray and steel-blue one, and Lucian is  the black and Cerulean one. All Moonlarks have a base color and some kind of blue feathers around there eyes, tail, wings, etc.

After meeting all the Moonlarks and chatting we headed back to the tree. surprisingly it still wasn't dark out and the torches made it look brighter. "Hungary?" Foster asked. "Very" "Well then follow me". We walked into a small area full of trees, "Lucian!" Foster called the Moonlarks name twice more before the black and cerulean bird landed at her feet. "Hello Sophie" "Hello Lucian". "How may I help you?" The bird asked. "Can you call Pipe?" Pipe like the flute? Foster and Lucian began to chat about something  when all of a sudden Lucian made a loud call that almost made me pee in my pants. and out of a small tree a pipe formed and landed in Fosters hand, Sophie began to play it. She was good! But what did this Pipe which name seemed to be Pipe have to do with food. my question was soon answered as flask of lush berry juice landed at Fosters feet and Ripple fluffs and some blue fruit then it stopped, there was enough food for the two of us to share. "Thank you Lucian and Pipe" Foster called as Pipe morphed back into a small tree. We ate in silence until Foster said "The food will disappear in five minutes so we should hurry and finish." I wolfed down the rest. I got up as the food disappeared. Foster I'm bored lets do something!!! "Fine" She said as she stood up "What do you want to do?" "Well truth or dares out since there's only two of us and Foster your not good at coming but with dares." She gave me the stink eye. "What it's true!" she rolled her eyes. "whatever" She mumbled. I spied some shells and stones by the water and ran over, Foster was  to deep her thoughts to notice. in about 10 minutes I was done. "FOSTER LOOK AT THIS!!" Sophie looked up and ran over to me. "Are you ok what's...Aw that's so cute! You made that! Keefe honestly your amazing at art! You can draw, build, and this is really cool!" "You think so?" I didn't think it was much just a heart..... Did she get the hint?

Sophie's POV

Did that mean Keefe likes me? Maybe not but still there's hope* Fingers crossed* he made this super cute thing though!
