Keefe's POV
I wanted to help her, but how? I couldn't just walk up to Fitz and fight him or tell him to let go.... That would be awkward.
I had an idea.
"Sorry Fitz you and Sophie can have your moment I don't mind...."
Sophie shot daggers at me as she entered my mind
Keefe PLEASE do something but I don't want to hurt his feelings!
Oh course she didn't, because she liked HIM! I guess all those times shes kissed me was like when I kissed Biana, not really caring because they meant nothing to her!
Suddenly more weary all I wanted to do was leave them so, I walked away without another word.
Sophie's POV
I wanted to smack Keefe all I wanted was help out of this awkward situation!
Fitz rested his head against my shoulders making my heart quicken to butterfly mode.
Then he whispered, his breath tickling my neck
"Were cognates. And I-I....I have a few confessions to make"
I turned my head to him, it was so quiet that I could hear the drip drip of the water on his hair fall to the ground.
Then I murmured "Me to"
Fitz's POV
I wanted to tell her everything! How her hair glowed in the sunlight and how her head fit in the crook of my neck, Everything.
But of course I decided to start with something else.
"Sophie I'm so sorry about giving you away to the Neverseen I mean NeverBlaze.... I did because the note I got was from Aliver, he said he would bring you back. he wanted to negoitate... Peace. And I'm an idiot for believing him! The brother I knew is gone. And I know that for a fact!"
She looked at me with those beautiful brown eyes
"Fitz it's ok! Were cognates so you can tell me everything! We're a team till the end!" she exclaimed and returned my embrace.

"SOPHIE! FITZ! YOUR ROOMS ARE READY!" Ediline's voice called from the house.
"Race ya!" Sophie shouted sprinting off before I could register what she had said.
"HEY NO FAIR" I shouted after her willing my feet to be nimble as I hoped over logs and fallen branches.
"LAST ON THERE'S A ROTTEN EGG!" Her voice replied
"IT"S ON!"
