Sam's POV
Derek Morgan is one of the most funniest and awesome agents I have ever met.
He tells jokes about the randomest things as well as small jokes about his fellow agents at the BAU which is hilarious.
Once the black SUV pulled into an empty parking lot, I raised an eyebrow at Morgan who simply chuckled at my confused expression.
I followed him out of the huge tank and he lead me to a door which I assumed was the back entrance of the building. The building itself looked a little old as some of the red bricks were crumbling round the edges. I stepped through, I began to follow Morgan silently, the walls were painted a dull blue. this place smelt like old cleaning products and sweat. pleasant right?
We then turned around a corner and walked down a narrow, dull and empty hallway which lead to a huge gym room, filled with equipment which seemed to be stacked into each corner of the room. The room was a little bigger than the gym at school, it had a wooden floor and two big windows on the right hand wall. there were also two basketball hoops at either end of the room.
"We gotta wait for your partner arrived." Morgan told me as he took of his sunglasses.
"Partner?" I asked raising an eyebrow. why the hell do I need a partner for self defence?... oh I see now.
"Well you aren't gonna attack yourself." Morgan said with sarcasm in his tone, I rolled my eyes "you never know." I muttered.
I placed my bag by the wall and unzipped it to play flappy bird while we waited.
About five minutes later, my phone was snatched from my grasp which pissed me off - nobody, and I mean nobody touches my phone without permission.
I looked up, surprised that James was standing there, holding a smirk on his lips whilst holding my phone Phil in the air (A/N her phone is called Phil, you know, Phil the phone? no? okay) James was wearing practically the same as me but in guy form - plain black gym shorts and a grey sleeveless shirt. his blonde hair was swept to the side - damn that's cute! wait what the fuck? I thought. I was knocked out my trance as he began childishly running around the room with my phone, so I began to chase him.
Eventually I caught up and tripped him. lucky for him, he regained balance and took a few steps back and then turned away, I took my chance.
I tripped him up and he landed on his back, I was about to grab my phone but he then slid it across the floor and Morgan had ahold of it.
"Okay, you guys stretch and -" he was interrupted from his phone ringing.
"I gotta take this." he told us and then disappeared from the room.I held a hand out to James which he took and got onto his feet. "right, lets stretch." He said, I nodded.
We did some arm and leg stretches in a comfortable silence before I went over to the corner and picked up a basketball - my back was facing James.
"Sam, what are you-" he began to ask before I threw the ball at him and yelled "think fast!" he didn't react quick enough as the ball hit him square in the chest causing me to laugh.
"Always be alert." I told him with a straight face, he laughed lightly before picking up the orange ball and tossing it back and I easily caught it.
A few minutes later, we were running up and down the hall throwing the ball to each other to warm up, we did this while talking about random shit.
Morgan returned and showed me a few simple moves to get started (which I already knew but I didn't tell them that.) "okay Sam, if James or the attacker is about to punch you, you block him like this." Morgan showed me what to do, I nodded. we did the same method for each move, Morgan spoke about it, demonstrated and I did it.
After a few hours of learning a lot of moves, going through a list of tips and many lectures, I was tired.
"You're okay but not good enough." James told me smugly, I simply ignored him and went to take a gulp of my water from my bag. I twisted the cap and allowed the sweet liquid to slide down my throat.
"So you're giving up?" James asked in a mocking tone, I turned to see him with an evil grin, Morgan remained silent as he leaned against the wall - how did he get there so fast? ninja.
"Who said I was?" I shot back with a glare.
"Well you just walked away."
"To get a drink." I snorted.
"You gave up."
"No I didn't." I said through gritted teeth.
"Prove it." he taunted he knew I could fight him easily, I had self defence classes before and I was pretty damn good.
I lunged at James, causing him to stagger back and almost fall however he quickly composed himself and placed his fists in front of him, I mimicked his actions.
I threw a punch which grazed his cheek as he dodged it in one swift movement. Then James looked me dead in the eye, he had 'over confident' written over his face. he then threw a punch, almost catching me off guard however I dodged quickly, grabbed his arm and pinned it behind his back, restricting his movements and quickly pinned the other behind his back before pinning him face first into the wall.
"Given up already?" I mimicked his tone with venom dripping in my voice, causing him to chuckle. I heard applause from the other side of the room,i snapped my head towards that direction and to my surprise the agents except Garcia stood with grins or looks of approval.
I let go of James who grinned at me and we fist bumped.
"I'm impressed." Morgan told me and patted my shoulder, I nodded as a thank you
"You'd make a good agent." Rossi informed me, causing me to grin.
"Maybe I could take Hotch's place?" I asked in amusement causing Prentiss to stifle a laugh.
"You couldn't handle the early mornings." Hotch told me, I laughed and nodded "yeah on second thoughts, you have your job back Hotch." I told him with a smile.
"Thanks so much Sam." he told me sarcastically, I saluted him before the agents turned and left leaving me, Morgan and James in the gym.
"Wanna head home?" Morgan asked, James and I nodded and I grabbed my bag before Morgan handed me Phil the phone and left the gym.
Once we were leaving I was thinking about what Rossi said.
"You'd make a good agent."
What did that mean?
What's with all this training?I shrugged and began to play a game of flappy bird on Phil the phone.
