The Arrangement

Chapter 3

   The newly met Newell looked me up and down. Licking his lips drinking his gin and tonic . Feeling awkward I looked around and met eyes with Daniel who looked over at Newell.
" Nope..." Daniel said aloud while moving over too me, slowly resting his arm on my shoulders. 
" If you try her your trying us. Better rethink that little idea of yours real quick."
I looked up at Danni's face, and he looked down at mine and smiled.

" What?" Newell smirked and took another sip, " I mean she's a good-looking  light-skin, my bad for looking at the beauty." He winked at me and Daniel laughed.

" I'm just saying, if you ain't gonna be serious, you might as well go ahead and think of one of your many hoes."

Alex laughed at both there exchange and brought me closer and stroked my hair.
" Honestly, I might have to keep you on a leash."

" wha?" I spoke confusedly.

" No fair!" Akiko ran over to Daniel and hopped in his lap, throwing her arms around him. " I want some loving too, Danni."

"Mmm, How could I forget."  Akiko kissed Daniel's cheek which took me aback.
Since when did they date? I feel like I've been under a rock.

" What?" Danni said while looking at me.

" When did you guys start talking like that?"

They looked at each and laughed.
" We don't. She's just does this to me."

I looked over at Alex, who only looked at me and smiled then at Newell, who looked as if he wasn't paying attention and just stared at the door expectantly.

" Ding..dong."  Went the door bell and Newell hopped up with a skip and a smile on his face.

" Desdemona here for you?" Alex turned his head and looked at the door.

" Of course she is, why wouldn't she be?"  He opened the door and a short girl about 5'2, medium long half black, half golden hair with two different colored eyes, one icy blue and the other black,walked in.
I feel like I was staring at her oddly cool features and her gothic look made her look more.
Honestly, now that I thought about it I feel like me and Alex are misplaced here.

" Yo!" Alex said with a small grin.

Daniel looked over and smirked at the two,"Can you not be to loud, okay?"

" Of course I won't, I mean she might call mercy early."  He said with a mischievous smile slowing going to her neck.  He bit into her neck roughly  maybe to the point where she drew a little blood or her skin was so red that I couldn't tell the difference.

"Newell... we should go in the other room..." she made eye contact with me, as I looked at her feverish eyes and I felt extremely uncomfortable and turned my head.

" I know... I know,"   He picked her up and carried her over his shoulder to a vacant room.

" Umm..." I looked back and fourth between Alex, and the door.
" Is that the girl you were talking about earlier?

Alex shook his head and looked at the tv.
" Nope, that's his how can you say... Last minute call maybe even a  personal prostitute."

" Wait so... he messes with two girls?" I said tilting my head.

" Well..." Daniel began to speak on the  matter " two girls is quite the understatement."

" Wait what? You mean he's one of those guys?"

Alex shrugged his shoulders and looked at me. " I expect no less of him, it's something I'd expect from a guy like him."

I looked over at Akiko and Daniel and they just shrugged it off as well.
To think I thought he was cute... well he is but sheesh. 
For the rest of that night we completely just chilled and talked. Our laughter drained the awkward tension coming from the other room.
