"Get in, loser!" I hear Parrish yell from outside. I smile and run out of my house. I left my grandma a note telling her that I was sleeping over Allison's house tonight and that she would give me a lift to work tomorrow.
"Hey babes!" I say when I shut the car door, sliding into the middle seat. Isaac is driving, with Jordan in shotgun. Allison is to the right of me, leaving the seat to the left of me open for Scott.
"Can I have a hit for before?" Allison asks. I nod and light a joint. I take a puff and pass it to Allison, who passes it to Jordan Parrish. i can see the sun starting to set out the window, meaning it's perfect. We grab Scott and head to Funland.

"Race you to the Ferris Wheel!" Jordan says as we enter the boardwalk. He hands the keys to Scott, and starts sprinting. I run after him, not letting him get a huge lead. I pass him, and slap the booth for the Ferris wheel. He sighs in defeat.
"Don't worry about it. Maybe next year," I say, taking a few steps towards him. He leans in, having both of our foreheads touch. As he goes to kiss me, I turn away and run to the ferris wheel seat. He slides next to me, placing his arm over me.
"We can't do this," I say and sigh, pushing his arm off of me. He rolls his eyes, fiddling with the belt loop on my shorts.
"Why? We've done it every other summer," he says softly. He knows he drives me crazy. He knows I can't get enough of him.
"Because you know I don't want to fuck up my future," I say to him, speaking in barely a whisper. His hand migrates from my belt loop to my waist.
"You won't," he whispers in my ear, slightly biting on the cartilage. I place my hand on the back of his head, but not sealing the gap between our lips.
"I don't believe you," I say, shutting my eyes softly. I feel his lips press against my jawline, then my cheek, then my nose.
"You shouldn't." He speaks softly, his breath smelling like a mix of vodka and marijuana. I don't regret pressing our lips together, or sliding over and sitting on his lap, straddling his hips the best I can while sitting down.
After our heated makeup session, we decide to walk over to the rest of our friends. "Let's smoke, I'm so stressed and I need the edge taken off," I say, sitting on the wood.
Rule number one of smoking illegally at a place you broken into illegally: hide the evidence. Do not leave anything behind, anything. Especially since I work here, not getting caught is crucial to having a fun, successful summer.
