Astrid's P.O.V
When I woke up I was in Hiccup's bed. How did I get here? I asked myself, I thought back to last night hmmmm........ Oh my Gods Hiccup asked me to the dance. Yes, Yes, Yes I thought happily as I smiled widly sitting up and getting out of his bed. I went down the staisr and there at the table was Hiccup, a blanket around his shoulders, sleeping in a chair.
"Hiccup?" I said softly poking him, he didn't wake, I poked him again, harder. Hmmm I went outside, the sun was almost at it's hight of the day, woah we had really slept in.
"Hey Astrid!" I heard someone call ughhh I knew that voice anywhere.
"Yes Snotlout" I said turning around to look at him.
"Just wanted to remind you that we have a meeting like right now" He said as he leaned against a wall.
"Ok thanks Snotlout, I will just get Hiccup and then I will be right over."
Snotlout nodded and began to walk away before turning
"Astrid I was just wondering if you wanted to come to the dance with me tonight?"
"Oh... Sorry Snotlout but I'm already going with someone" I said feeling slightly sorry for him.
"Your going with Hiccup aren't you" he said, I didn't answer but I was sure the heat in my cheeks gave it away. I watched as he walked away his shoulders slumped in disapiontment.
I walked through the snow and ice to the well, luckily it wasn't frozen over, I pulled up some water and took the icy pail to Hiccup.
I took the blanket from around his shoulders, chucking it onto the ground. I then dumped the water on his head.
"Holy Thor!" He shouted as he shot up in his chair dripping wet "What did I do!"
"Oh nothing" I said trying not to laugh "I couldn't wake you up so I went and got something that would"
"Brrrr couldn't you have jsut given me a punch like you normally do?" he said shivering
"Oh... I didn't think of that" I said looking at the ground. "well anyway we have a meeting in about 30 seconds so you better hurry up"
"Ok I'm coming" he said walking out of the house still sripping slightly "Brrr I wish the dragons were here"
I laughed "come on i'll race you to the arena" I said "It'll warm you up a bit."
Hiccup's P.O.V
Astrid was right it warmed me up a bit not a lot but a bit. I was still cold when we came to the arena. Astrid and I were the last to arive and the group had already started discussing.
"I reckon you should go for a Monstrous Nightmare" said Snotlout loudly "they are the best!"
"No nightmares are boring go for..." Tuffnut broke off as he saw us entering the arena
"Hi everyone" I said smiling at the group assmbled around a table with the book of dragons in the middle. "what are we doing?"
"Were trying to find a good dragon for Willow" said Fishlegs "now you could go for a Deadly Nadder but they are a bit stupid"
Instulting Stormfly's breed inf front of Astrid bad idea. She walked over to Fishlegs and punched him in the stomach.
"Owww!" Fishlegs whined "why is it always violence with you?"
"It's not violence" said Astrid "it's communication"
I sighed "Guys why are you trying to decide on a dragon now? There all gone for the next month!"
Everyone groaned "well that was a waste of time wasn't it" Ruff said to Tuff who just nodded, he kept looking from me to Astrid, did he know that we were going to the dance together?
"You guys should all go get ready for the dance, it starts in a few hours" I said
Everyone stood and pushed there chairs away from the table and began walking out of the arena. I went over to Astrid before she left and whispered quietly so she could only she could hear
"see you tonight, i'll pick you up from your house OK" I smiled and she just grinned back.
Fishlegs P.O.V
"Hey Willow" I said as she walked out of the arena behind Snotlout "can I talk to you for a minute"
"yeah sure" she said smiling. "You go on Snotlout"
"So I umm was wondering if... ifyouwanttogottothedancewithme?" I said but it all came out in a rush
"Sorry Fishlegs I didn't catch that" She said still smiling but looking slightly curious this time.
"Willow will you come to the dance with me?" I asked saying it more slowly. Thor's Hammer I thought I was going to start hyperventilating I was so worked up.
"Yeah" she said excitedly "I'd like that."
