Chapter 17: BETRAYAL

Gwyneth's P.O.V

I needed to spead the process up. Hiccup was still too attached to the girl Astrid. Hmmmmmm

I walked over to Astrid who had her back to the rest of us. 

"Hey Astrid" I said softly. 

"What?" she snapped. 

"I just wanted to know if your ok you seemed pretty upset." I said putting a hand on her shoulder waiting for the effects of my touch to begin.

Astrid's P.O.V

I really didn't want to talk to anyone right now, not even Hiccup and then Gwyneth comes over and starts talking to me. 

"I just wanted to know if your ok" she said putting a hand on my shoulder. I didn't hear the rest of her sentance, because before I knew it I was standing in an deserted house. 

"She'll never know" I jumped, spinning around I saw Gwyneth walking towards Hiccup. 

"Gwyneth we really shouldn't be doing this" Hiccup said backing aaway. 

"Yes we should" she said, her body seemed to be glowing, not in beauty but literally glowing. I hissed in distaste, enticement. I froze for the fear that they had heard me, but they continued there talking as though I weren't there, invisible. It then struck me that I was inside a memory.

"Look Gwyneth i'm sure your a lovely girl but I have a girlfriend." Hiccup stuttered starring at her like she was the most beautiful thing in the world. I felt jealousy stirring in me, something I hadn't felt in a while.

She was a sorceror I had only read about them but I knew the signs. Well Gwyneth should know better, there was no way stupid enticement would work on Hiccup!

I stared as Gwyneth closed the space between herself and Hiccup with a quick stride. She pressed her lips to his. Hiccup kissed her back. I felt my knees get wobbly and I sunk to the cold floor. He kissed her back passionatly and Gwyneth rapped her arms around his neck. 

"Hiccup" I whispered. Anger boiled inside of me. I stood up and made to go and break them apart. But before I could take one step I found myself once again looking at the wall of the cell, Gwyneth's hand was still on my shoulder. 

"Astrid?" asked Hiccup sounding concerned. 

"Did you plan on breaking up with me? Or where you just going to keep leading me on?" I shouted at him walking forward. I found my arms restrained, I looked behind to see Gwyneth's arms raised, they were no where near me though. Magic.

I heard the others gasp. 

"Sorcery" whispered Heather. 

"I don't know what your talking about?" he said. 

"Yes you do!" I shrieked still fighting the magic. "You kissed her!" I shouted jerking my head at the person behind me. Hiccup shrunk away, I knew the look in my eyes must be murderous. 

"It was an accident Astrid, I didn't mean to." Hiccup said quietly. It only then struck me that I had woken up the rest of the villagers and I was humiliating their future chief in front of everyone. 

"No it wasn't Hiccup." I whispered. I felt warm tears sliding down my face. "I saw everything! Your soreceross girl showed it all to me." 

"Gwyneth?" Hiccup asked looking behind me looking betrayed. 

"She had to know about us Hiccup." Gwyneth said I could hear the evil in her voice. 

"We would have rescued everyone by now if you hadn't got mixed up in your own troubles you selfish pig!!" I screamed at him. "Because of you we are never going to get out of here. In fact we'll all probably die here."

"There's still a chance." Hiccup said repeating the words I had said to him when we were decorating for Snoggletog. 

"No Hiccup, there is no rescue!" I shouted balling my hands into fists. 

"Did someone say rescue?" I heard a voice from the corridor that lead to the great hall. 

I turned my head to see.......
