Toothless's P.O.V
Why can't fish just come to the dragon? I thought pocking my head into the river hoping to catch an unsuspecting fish. They always seemed to move at the last moment.
I froze, bringing my head out of the water I turned my nose to the wind and sniffed, one ear cocked up.
Something was wrong something was terribly wrong.
Astrid's P.O.V
"NO" I howled as I shook Hiccup's body. "Please don't leave me! This can't be happening, please no!"
"WHAT DID HE EVER DO TO YOU" I screamed at the sky as sobs over took my body. My friends were standing behind me none made any move to come closer. Jem and Ash crept over to us as I cried, they nudged Hiccup and began whimpering.
I heard a disstressed roar and looked up to see a Night Fury with a pained expression on his face flying towards us.
"Toothless!" I wailed, he would understand my loss better than anyone else.
The dragon roared back, he landed and ran up to Hiccup. He nudged Jem and Ash out of the way and began growling at Hiccup.
"Toothless" I cried tears streaming endlessly down my face "He's gone"
Toothless stopped and backed away, for a second I thought he had understood me. He raised his head to the sky and began roaring so sorrowfully I started sobbing again and held Hiccup against me.
The other dragons took up Toothless's call and soon the air was filled with a mournful tune that sounded like a song. At the end Toothless shot one plazma blast after the other soon all the other dragons were doing the same. I looked to the darkning sky now lit by a display of fire. With a final roar Toothless shot one more blast to the sky at the same time all our dragons shot there fire into the sky. The fire hit each other all at once creating a boom, littlle specs of fire rained down on us, I gasped as one of them his me, instead of being hot it was ice cold.
"Oh Hiccup" I said softly lying my head against his chest "Please you have to come back, you can't leave now Berk needs you....I need you."
Everything was silent and all I could hear was his clear steady heartbeat, wait... what?
"Astrid?" whispered a voice.
I jerked up and stared at Hiccup his eyes were open and he was blinking at me wih huge green eyes.
'But how...." I cried
"Shush" he said pressing his finger against my lips, he then brought my head down and kissed me.
Tears streemed down my facce as I hugged him.
I got up and helped Hiccup into a sitting postion. I turned around and found everyone turned away and looking towards the horizon. Fishlegs and Willow were hugging and I could see Willow's body shaking, Heather was sitting her back against Spike, even Snotlout was whiping his eyes. The twins were sitting with there dragon scratching a head each.
"Guys" I said running over leaving Hiccup. "Look!"
"Hiccup?" Willow whispered, everyone ran over and began hugging him.
"Careful" he croaked. "Were's Toothless?"
"Hey Toothless" I said happily turning to were I had seen him last.
He wasn't there in his place was his prosthetic tale ripped to shreds, it looked as if it had been torn off.
"Bud?" Asked Hiccup
