Chloe sat by the school entrance, waiting for her brother to pick her up. She played around with the leaves and sticks on the ground to pass time.
"We meet again."
Chloe shrieked loudly as she fumbled to grab onto something from the ground, held it in front of her then spun around.
Hunter stood there, looking amused. He glanced down at what she was holding and burst into laughter.
"What?" Chloe snapped annoyed.
"Y-you were trying t-to attack me with a-a fucking pebble!" Hunter spit out between laughs.
Chloe looked down, horrified, and realized he was right.
"Well at least it wasn't a leaf." She muttered, throwing the pebble to the side.
Hunter doubled over in laughter as he fell onto the ground.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Chloe scowled, her face red with embarrassment.
"Just think of the headline." Hunter chuckled, getting up from the floor as his laughter subsided. "Girl dies while trying to protect herself with a pebble."
Chloe huffed and crossed her arms.
"Shut up Hunter."
Hunter grinned.
"Make me."
Chloe let out a war cry as she pounced on him, causing both of them to fall onto the ground. Chloe ended up on top of him, her face crashing into his chest.
And no, it was not one of those cliche books where they look into each others eyes and lean in for a kiss.
Because it seriously hurt like a bitch.
"Ow." Chloe groaned.
"Why the fuck are you saying ow?" Hunter asked angrily. "I'm the one you crashed onto."
Chloe scowled. "Your stomach is like metal or something."
Hunter rolled his eyes but cracked a grin.
"It's called 'muscles' fluffy."
Chloe faked confusion.
"What muscles?"
Hunter glared at her.
"Meanie."
Chloe laughed and got up, and reached her hand out for Hunter to grab. Hunter reluctantly reached out to grab onto it, but Chloe immediately retracted it, causing him to fall back on the ground with a groan.
"Chloe!"
Chloe snickered. "Now will you leave me alone?"
Hunter smiled. "Nope!"
Chloe frowned. "Why not?"
"Because we are like butt cheeks."
"Wha-"
"Although there is a lot of crap between us, we will always stick together."
Chloe let all that sink in. Then she face palmed.
"Fuck you."
