Courtney was good at observing people.
For example, Maria cut her hair two inches today, Jonah has a bruise on his arm and Leila was feeling extremely giddy today.
Hmm, wonder if Leila had a fun night yesterday. If you know what I mean.
But what stood out most to her was her best friend, Chloe.
Chloe had a different air around her. She would often be in a daze, staring at the wall and smiling to herself. Her eyes would light up every time the new guy, Hunter, came around.
Wait.
Oh the signs were obvious alright. Chloe was in l-o-v-e!
Well maybe not love. Yet.
Courtney grinned to herself. She always loved being cupid. And now, she could finally use her awesome skills on her best friend.
"Court?"
Courtney blinked and found Chloe in front of her, a concerned expression on her face.
"You okay?" Chloe asked. "You had a creepy smile on her face."
Courtney smiled.
"It was nothing. Just thinking."
Chloe seemed unsure but let it slide.
"Okay then. Come on let's go to music."
Courtney let Chloe pull her through the mass of students hurrying to their next class. She spotted Hunter in the crowd.
Hunter saw them and immediately grinned at Chloe. Chloe rolled her eyes, but Courtney noticed her blush. She looked back at Hunter and noticed him studying Chloe with a smile on his face.
Courtney smirked to herself.
Oh yeah, she was definitely going to have a lot of fun.
