Hunter didn't exactly know why, but he kept grinning like an idiot whenever he thought of Chloe.
This morning she completely surprised everyone with her witty remarks, including Hunter himself. He already knew Chloe was like that, but this just made him admire her even more.
Hunter turned the corner of the hallway and entered the library. His eyes flickered around the room, searching for Chloe.
He soon spotted the mass of brown curls in the far corner, quietly reading a book. Her eyebrows were furrowed, her eyes trained on the thousands of letters, drinking in each and every word.
At some point, her lips curled into a smile and she laughed silently, her eyes twinkling.
Smiling to himself, he slowly made his way towards her. Chloe was so absorbed in the book she didn't even notice him hovering in front of her.
Hunter coughed loudly to get her attention. Chloe let out a small squeak of surprise, but her startled expression soon turned to an amused one once she saw who it was.
"Yes?" Chloe asked, closing her book and setting it on the table.
Hunter plastered on a smirk as he opened his mouth to speak.
"I feel like a library card, since I've been totally checking you out." He gave her a playful wink.
Chloe laughed, but quickly changed her face to look deadly serious.
"Did you notice that I'm like a best seller?"
Hunter cocked his head in confusion. Chloe's mouth twisted into a smirk.
"Currently unavailable."
He laughed. This girl really was something.
He watched Chloe burst out giggling at her own joke, her soft hair falling down in front of her face and her dazzling green eyes shining brightly.
And at that moment, he knew Chloe was definitely something special, and that he would do anything for her to be his.
