Chloe stared at her house, her dark brown curls blowing in the wind.
The bags were packed. The house was sold. The tickets were bought.
"Any last things?" Elliot asked, appearing besides her. "Anything you need to do before we leave?"
Chloe bit her lip, hesitating for a moment. She looked up at her brother, her now seemingly dull green eyes sparking with a newfound determination.
"Actually, yes."

Chloe anxiously picked at the hem of her shirt as she walked up the front steps. Her hands were sweaty as she gripped tightly onto the item in her hand.
She raised her hand and rung the doorbell a few times.
The door swung open.
"Chloe? What are you doing here?"
Chloe swallowed nervously. "It's a long story."

"Thank you so much." Chloe repeated yet again as she stepped outside.
The person smiled sadly. "You're welcome Chloe. Despite how much I hate you for leaving, I understand where you're coming from."
Chloe wrapped her arms around their body, hugging them for the last time.
"One last thing," Chloe added. She handed the person something in her hand.
"Chloe-"
"Give it to him. Please."
Courtney sighed as she took it from her best friend. Giving her a reasurring smile, she nodded.
