Chloe glanced at her mom, before a knowing smirk graced her lips. "Elliot?"
Her mom chuckled. "Obviously."
The two laughed again, snickering at Elliot's serious obsession over milk.
"Alright, promise to come back soon." Chloe reminded her as she leaned over and gave her mom a short hug.
"Chloe, I can take care of myself. I promise I'll be back. It's not like this is a cliche book where someone the main character loves dearly dies in a car accident." she scoffed, shaking her head.
