Castiel vomited his lunch of soup into the toilet for the 7th day in a row. Not only was he feeling like death himself, but he was missing school. He was so far behind he'd have to work like a machine for the rest of the semester. He had the weekend to get better, so he could at least know what he was missing and what he needed to do.

How was he supposed to graduate if he is missing all this work with no break to help him make it up? He also needed to keep up with the current work in the class. But how could he do that when the missing work explained that to him? These thoughts made Cas feel even worse and he spent an extra five minutes in front of the toilet.

By the next day, Castiel looked a million times better. He was no longer pale and clammy, the color had returned to his face and he could finally eat. He spent the whole day, texting other classmates and emailing teachers to get the work he needed, but of course, everyone told him they couldn't get him anything until Monday.

So Saturday evening, Cas laid in bed close to tears because what was he suppose to do? He was going to fail now because of a stupid stomach flu. He wasn't even sure how he got it. He went with his best friend, Dean, to the Roadhouse so maybe he ate a bad burger. It was so unlike the Roadhouse though. Cas sighed and rubbed his temples, feeling a headache overtake him.

"Cas!" His brother shouted from downstairs and Castiel groaned. He wasn't in the mood for Gabriel's games and definitely didn't feel well enough to eat any of his candy.

"Cas!" The shout came again and Cas huffed before heaving himself off his bed.

His heavy feet trudged down the steps and a pout graced his lips. "I'm not in the mood."

"Aw come on, angel," he heard a welcoming voice complain.

"Dean?"

"I have a surprise for you," Dean stated, pulling a box from behind his back.

Cas stared at the white box in Dean's hand, wrapped with a green ribbon that could never compare to the boy's eyes. Cas admired Dean as he hadn't seen his best friend in a little over a week because he didn't want to take the chance that Dean might get sick. Dean leaned against his doorframe with his father's leather jacket filled with his muscles. His boot clad feet crossed and his pants fitting him in just the right places.

"Are you going to take it or what?" Dean asked with a playful smirk, clearly knowing what Cas was doing.

Cas cleared his throat and fought the blush off of his cheeks. "What is it?"

"Well, why don't you open it?" Dean rolled his eyes, waiting for the light to shine in Cas's eyes when he saw what Dean brought.

Cas carefully opened the gift, not wanting to ruin the ribbon. He lifted the lid and stared at the stacks of paper within. He tilted his head in confusion, looking at Dean for an explanation.

"I know you were freaking out about missing classes because you texted me every night about it, so I-" Dean stopped short, rubbing the back of his neck and a light blush coating his cheeks. "I went to your classes and got all your work for you."

Cas looked between Dean and the stack of papers, his mouth opened with the words held hostage in his throat. Dean didn't take the same classes as Cas, so Dean had to go between classes or after school for these. He went through all that trouble just so Cas didn't have to be too stressed.

Gabriel popped his head in and smirked at the two. "Cassie, I think this is a good time to ask old Dean-o here out."

Cas sputtered and lifted the box up, hoping to hide the embarrassment on his face. "Gabriel!"

Gabriel laughed and walked away, popping skittles into his mouth.

Cas turned to Dean and his heart melted at the smile that graced Dean's lips. His perfect teeth, despite the endless bacon burgers, were shining against his wonderfully pink lips. "Thank you so much."

"Yeah, well, if you were stressed out about school work you probably couldn't go on a date with me next week," Dean smoothly said, shoving his hands into his pockets and shrugging.

"Really?" Cas smiled, taking away Dean's breath.

"Would I really go through all this trouble if I wasn't sure?" Dean stood up right, brushing away the hair that threatened to spill into Cas's eyes.

Cas nodded his head enthusiastically, "Just not the Roadhouse."
