Jimin

I start on my way home from school. It was just a normal day. Full of taking notes, listening to lectures, and daydreaming during the boring classes.

As I'm walking home, I feel raindrops against my skin. I stick out my hands to catch the drops and smile. I love the light rain, it's so peaceful. However, just when I was enjoying the light rain, it starts to rain so hard I'm soaked in less than a minute.

I consider running but figure it's pointless, I'm already completely drenched. I feel my phone vibrate. I cover my phone with a sleeve and check: it's my mom calling

Y/n: "eomma?"
Mom: "hi! I'm sorry I'm not home so you won't be able to get into the house. Can you stay at school for an hour or two until I come home?"
Y/n: "oh okay, bye!"

I run back to the school, annoyed that I have to go back. I go to the library since it's the only place in the school where I can be alone. I find a bench next to a window and a air vent so I can dry my clothes while enjoying watching the rain. I started shivering a bit because of my drenched clothes against my skin.

I put my headphones on and watch out the window. I see something in the corner of my eye. I turn and see Jimin, my seat partner standing in front of me.

Y/n: "hey Jimin" I smile. He smiles back
Jimin: "hey y/n. Did you go outside?? You must be cold!" He sits next to me, takes off his jacket, and put its on me. He rubs my arms to try to warm me up.
Y/n: "oh t-thank you, you don't have to do that though"
Jimin: "I wanted to. You look better in it anyway" he jokes and nudges me. I laugh and thank him again.

He stays seated next to me and we watch outside the window for a while in silence. To break the silence I ask:

Y/n: "so why are you here so late?" He looks down at his feet
Jimin: "oh.. well I was going to walk home but I saw you running back here so I wanted to make sure you were okay and taken care of"

Even though he's looking down I can see his cheeks turning red. I smile, he's so sweet. I never realized it before. I start to think I might have some feelings for him but I can't be sure. My thoughts are interrupted my my phone ringing:

Y/n: "hello?"
Mom: "hi! I'm home now, come home"
Y/n: "okay see you soon"

I start to get up but Jimin takes hold of my wrist. I look down at him with confusion.

Jimin: "can I take you home?"
Y:n: "oh you don't have to. Im okay"
Jimin: "I want to make sure that you get home safe in this rain" he looks serious about this so I agree.

We begin walking in the still pouring rain. We look at eachother and laugh, seeing how soaked we already are. He sticks out his tongue to catch raindrops and I do the same. We talk while we are walking and get closer and closer to eachother because of the heavy rain. By the middle of the walk, I'm holding onto his arm. When I realize, I pull back and keep walking but apart from him.

He looks over at me:

Jimin: "I didn't mind"
Y/n: "sorry I just didn't realize.."
Jimin: "I don't mind" he looks at me with a new look in his eyes. He steps closer to me. So close that I can feel my breath shorten and my heart starts beating at a rapid pace.

He looks into my eyes then down at my lips. He softly places his lips on mine and kisses me. At first I'm too shocked to do anything but once I come back to reality I kiss him back. In the pouring rain we kiss and I can feel the love inside me burst.
