Jhope

I stand, scanning the gigantic book shelves in the library trying to find a new book to read. I've read almost all of them so it's getting harder and harder to find one.

As I'm looking, I see in the corner of my eye, someone farther down standing looking at the books. I look over and I see a handsome guy that looks about my age. I see him turn his head and look at me. We make eye contact and I feel like I can't look away.

I realize how long I was staring and I quickly down back at the books, blushing like crazy. I feel frantic and nervous so i quickly grab a book that doesn't look familiar, check it out, and rush to the nearest cafe to escape from the awkwardness.

I sit in the corner of the cafe with a large iced coffee and start reading the book I picked up. After reading the first page I realize I've read it before. I sigh, push the book away and just drink my coffee and watch everyone else in the cafe.

I then see the door of the cafe open and see the same boy from the library enter. I quickly look down and hope he doesn't see me.

He doesn't come over and I look back up. I see him ordering a drink. He smiles at the worker with an incredibly handsome smile and walk over to my table.

"May I sit with you?" He asks softly. I nod. He sits down gracefully and smiles at me. "I'm sorry if I scared you back at the library, I'm Jung Hoseok, you can call me Jhope though. I saw you and I really wanted to meet you" he looks down at his hands and twiddles his thumbs nervously.

I feel my heart beat faster looking at him but I try to stay calm. "My name's y/n and you didn't scare me I'm sorry I was so awkward" I laugh. He chuckles "you're not awkward, you're perfect" I smile at him with thanks.

We're interrupted by his phone ringing. He looks at me apologetically and picks it up. "Hello?" He says. I hear mumbles on the phone and see his face make an annoyed expression. "Ugh really??..... fine okay I'll be there" he grumbles. He looks back at me, "I'm really sorry I have to go, it was nice meeting you y/n" he starts to walk away then quickly comes back. "Oh yeah this is for you" he hands me a book. "It's a favorite of mine" he smiles then runs off out of the cafe.

I look at the book in my hand. It's titled: "love at first sight" I know I haven't read it before. I open the cover to the first page and see written on a slip of paper: maybe it's true? With a phone number. I smile to myself thinking about the boy from the library.
