Lilli sat on the bench at the bus stop, outside of the apartment complex she'd been in hours before. She didn't dare look down at her phone, scared to see if MatPat had messaged her back. She was keeping an eye out for his car, waiting for his familiar smile, his familiar and soothing voice. She was simply waiting for her father to pick her up.

She'd remembered all the busses she'd ever caught instead of travelling to and from school in her "parent's" car. They never had a reliable one, and when they bought one fancy sports car with the money they scraped out of scamming people, they wouldn't let Lilli lay a finger on it. She sighed as she took her phone out, ignoring the text she had just been sent. She looked through her photos of her friends back home, when they were at school. They had taken pictures documenting everything in their final year before they had to buckle down and actually work. One was of Lilli and Jessica pointing up at their awards board; their names freshly engraved on it for English awards. Another was of the time they both got participation ribbons at their swimming carnival. After flicking through her entire camera roll, she found the video that made her already jumbled thoughts into a concoction so messy, nothing could take the ideas back to their true form.

Lilli placed her phone on the bench in the train station in Brisbane, and winked to the camera. She then stepped back into the crowd of people rushing off the train, departing the station and running off to work. Then, her smile grew from ear to ear as she held out her arms for her friend. Jessica ran into frame, and fell into Lilli's arms. They stood like this for what seemed like a while watching it back, and then the video stopped.

Lilli's eyebrows furrowed as the screen went black, it's battery drained. She looked up before her to see MatPat before her, waving from his car.

"Lilli, come in!" he exclaimed over the traffic. She grabbed her suitcase from beside her and wheeled it over to his car. He opened the passenger side door, and gestured for her to place her luggage in the boot.

She placed her suitcase in the back, unaware of what MatPat was telling her. She looked up at him as she fastened her seatbelt, her eyes slightly glazed over.

"So, what do you think?" he concluded, as she became more confused. Think of what?

"Sorry, I zoned out," she replied as she gazed out the window. She was still shaken about the whole scenario. Why did I agree to this? What about the actual people who raised me? Was this all staged? He was an actor after all...

The rest of the trip to his place was silent.

Sorry this is really short and meaningless, I needed a filler and am completely lost or ideas. I'm trying to focus on school at the moment, so sorry in advance for sloppy writing!
