It was only five minutes into the drive home from Denise's house, and Matty was already sliding his hand up higher and higher on my thigh. I would glance at him every time I felt movement, and Matty would keep his eyes on the road.
"Matty?" I placed my hand on top of his, stopping the movement. "Is there something that you want to tell me about?"
"What?" Matty turned to me; running his free hand through his hair, then returning it to the wheel. "Like?"
"The party happening in your pants?" I laughed. "I can tell a party is happening."
"Shut up," Matty chuckled nervously. "It's late already, would you be willing to... you know... pull over real quick?"
I looked at Matty with wide eyes. "You want to have car sex?"
"I don't particularly want to, I mean yes I do. I would prefer a bed, but we are far from home... this one time, please?" Matty begged. "I'll pull into a dirt road and drive for a bit to assure privacy?"
I shook my head at Matty, "You're absolutely insane."
"I know!" Matty slammed his hand on the steering wheel.
"Turn right," I instructed.
After driving for a while down a deserted road, Matty made a left turn and turned off the car.
"I'll be in the back," he explained. "Whenever you're ready, we can stop whenever."
I nodded at Matty as he unbuckled and jumped in the back of his car. He turned off his car lights and I heard him taking off his shoes.
I looked out of the window to see a pitch black sky. The moon dimly lit the distressed road, and I took a deep breath.
"Baby?" I felt Matty's hand on my shoulder. "Is something wrong?"
"No," I answered, taking off my shoes. I crawled in the backseat beside Matty. "You do have a condom right?"
"I always do," Matty chuckled.
"You carry them with you?" I laughed.
"Well, yes," Matty laughed.

I woke up the next day to Matty sitting beside me holding a cup of coffee. I looked up at him and covered my face with a pillow.
"Morning," Matty laughed. "After the ordeal last night you fell asleep, and now you're here."
I nodded, "Coffee."
I held my hand out, and Matty laughed, "Here." I felt a warm coffee cup in my hand, bringing happiness to life.
I sat up and leaned on Matty, sipping on his coffee. "You make the best coffee," I smiled.
"I know, I've perfected the art," Matty chuckled. "Wouldn't you say so?"
"Yes," I nodded. "I want to paint."
I got off of our bed, leaving Matty there. Once I stood up I realized something, I still had Matty's coffee.
"Where are you going with my coffee, love?" Matty chuckled.
"Oh," I sighed, handing it back to him. "If you could make me a cup that would be delightful, I can't get the ratios correct."
"Okay," Matty agreed. "Just because I love you."
I smiled at him, kissing his lips gently. "Thank-you," I smiled.
I turned back to Matty as I began to leave our room, and I watched him sigh at me. "What?" I frowned.
"I'm thinking about how much I hate wedding receptions," Matty answered. "When we get married let's just shotgun it."
"Um?" I laughed. "Okay."
"See! That's so much easier," Matty chuckled. "Just us in Vegas!"
"We're going back to America to have our shotgun wedding? Why don't we just go to the courthouse and be done with it?" I suggested.
"You're right," Matty kissed my cheek. "I'll be back with your coffee, baby."
I walked into the art room which is no longer in boxes as of yesterday. I sat on a pillow that Aunt Suzanne gifted me, looking at the empty canvas.
I grabbed my phone and turned on music, "Is There Someone Who Can Watch You," playing. I grabbed a pencil, sketching out a random idea.
"Coffee?" Matty walked into the room, holding his mug and my mug.
"Yes, thank-you Matty," I smiled. Matty stood behind me, looking at the sketch of flowers.
"I like that," Matty stated. "It's nice."
"Are up just saying that, or are you being honest?" I questioned.
"Honest," Matty answered. "Mum would love it."
"You want me to bribe your mum?" I laughed.
"No! I'm just saying, she loves flowers!" Matty exclaimed.
"Doesn't everyone like some type of flowers?" I questioned.
"No, not people with allergies," Matty laughed. "See!" I rolled my eyes at Matty, looking at the sketch in front of me. "Can I draw a flower and paint it?"
I looked at Matty with a wide smile, "Of course. Grab one of those tiny canvases." I pointed to the corner, and Matty walked over.
Matty grabbed one of the tiny canvases and sat beside me on the floor. Matty grabbed a pencil from between us, examining the sharp point.
I finished sketching and got up, walking over to the paints. I grabbed pastel colors, and when I looked back at Matty he was staring at the canvas.
"I don't know what to do," Matty stated. "I've never really thought about flowers."
I smiled, sitting beside him. "Well," I began. "Start with something."
"The stem?" Matty raised his eyebrows at me. "Do you suggest the stem?"
"Sure," I shrugged. "Go."
Matty turned away from me and looked at the small canvas. He brought the pencil to the canvas, then sighed.
"I can't do it," Matty stated.
"Matty," I laughed.
"I've never been a painting person!" Matty chuckled.
"Matty," I sighed, picking up the canvas. "If I start the sketch, will you finish and paint it?"
"Yes," Matty nodded.
I sketched out the stem, and began a flower petal. I turned the canvas towards Matty, and I watched his eyes flash up to me. "You did that in like a minute and a half," Matty smiled. "It'll take me forever."
"That means you can stay in here with me," I shrugged.
"Okay," Matty smiled faintly.
