Valentine's Day began with unpacking boxes and boxes of things. Luckily, a few days after we officially got the place, all of the guys helped with the larger furniture.
I stood in the kitchen, placing plates and bowls into cabinets. Matty had left a note beside me when he left this morning so I would freak out. He said that he went to get me an extra gift.
I hummed along to "Chocolate," organizing the silverware. Soon I heard the front door open.
"It's not Matty! Please be dressed!" I heard George's voice echo throughout the house. I laughed, walking around the corner to see George. "Hello, Sarilynn."
"Hi?" I smiled.
"I wanted to drop off a house warming gift from Adam, George, and I. We wanted to get you guys something," George handed me a medium sized box.
"Oh," I responded. "Thank-you. You didn't have to do that, George."
"I know, but it was Adam's idea. Both of the guys were busy this morning so I am forced to deliver it. I'll be leaving now," George chuckled. "Bye Sarilynn!"
"Bye!" I waved as George left.
I walked back into the kitchen, placing the little box on an empty counter space. I went back to unloading.
I was startled to hear the door opening again, but I realized it was most likely only Matty. "Babe!" Matty shouted. "I'm back!"
"Kitchen!" I responded, placing the tupperware into a specific drawer.
"Where are you?" Matty chuckled.
"I'm right here," I laughed.
"I can't see you, the boxes are covering my vision. Stand up, baby," Matty instructed.
I stood up and walked around the island to see Matty holding a ton of red roses.
"Surprise," Matty smiled, popping his head around them. I covered my face with my hands, not being able to handle him.
I heard Matty set them down, and then I felt him wrap his arms around my waist. "Although we probably won't do much this Valentine's Day," Matty paused. "I wanted to surprise you."
I wrapped my arms around his neck, hiding my face in his chest. "I love you," I smiled. "Thank-you..."
"It's nothing," Matty kissed my cheek. "How's unboxing going?" Matty asked.
"Well," I let go of Matty, but he kept an arm around my waist as I led him around the kitchen island. "Things are happening."
Matty chuckled, leaning over and kissing my cheek. "You don't have to make everything perfect right away," Matty smiled.
"I just want it to be done," I sighed. "The kitchen is one of the last things."
"Well, let me help," Matty smiled. "Direct me to do things."

After two hours, the kitchen was finally finished. Matty smiled at me as I folded boxes up. "Thank-you," I smiled.
"No problem, babe," Matty responded. "Does that mean I can take you out now?"
"Matty, I told you to not make reservations," I sighed.
"No, I mean as in let's go exploring," Matty chuckled. "We both want to watch movies tonight, right?"
"Yes," I nodded.
"Go get ready," Matty smiled.
"My stuff is in boxes," I groaned. "Help me please."
"Okay," Matty agreed.
Matty and I walked upstairs and into our room, which is basically boxes. I sighed, looking at the names on boxes.
Eventually, I found a box with my name on it. I opened the box and found a pair of jeans. I turned to see Matty looking through boxes as well.
"Uh," Matty scratched the back of his head. "I found my shirts if you just want to wear one of mine."
"Sure," I shrugged. I walked over to Matty and he handed me a light grey shirt. "You planned that, didn't you?"
"Maybe," Matty smiled faintly. "It is your favourite color, correct?"
"Yes," I smiled.
Matty walked over to our bed, laying flat on his back. I changed quickly, glancing at Matty and seeing him staring at me. Matty's lips formed a faint smile.
"Sorry for staring, love," Matty chuckled. "I just like you."
I walked over to him, laying beside him. Matty smiled at me, and I caught his eyes glancing at my lips. I pressed my lips to Matty's, and felt him smiling.
I backed away and Matty frowned. "It was your idea to leave the house," I stated.
"I know," Matty reached for my hand. "It'll be fun once we actually leave the house. The buildup makes me want to stay here."
"That's how it is with everything," I stood up. I reached for Matty's hands, and eventually he took mine.
I pulled Matty up and he sighed at me. "I don't know why I suggested leaving the house. I would really enjoy staying in with you," Matty closed his eyes. "I did go out today already."
"Matty," I laughed. "I already got ready."
"You can undress again," Matty smiled. "I can watch you again," Matty chuckled.
I smiled at Matty, "You're lucky the wifi has been hooked up."
"I know," Matty smiled, grabbing my hands and pulling me closer. "I'll go start a bubble bath for the two of us."
Matty got up and walked into the bathroom, leaving me in our room. I sat down on the bed, looking down at the ring around my left finger.
I spun the gold ring around, remembering the small speech Matty told me about the ring being his grandmother's.
"Babe?"
I turned to see shirtless Matty, his lower half being hidden by the bathroom wall. "Would you care to come join me?" Matty smiled.
"I'll be there in a second," I smiled at him.
Matty nodded, "I love you."
"I love you," I replied. Matty retreated behind the wall, and I heard Matty getting into the bath.
I stood up, walking into the bathroom. Matty sat in the bubble bath, a smile on his face as his chin was covered in bubbles.
I laughed at him, putting my hair up. I took off the ring, carefully setting it on the sink.
I slid off my pants then shirt, glancing behind me to see Matty watching my every move.
"Staring isn't nice, Matthew."
