David, Avril, Ren and I began putting all the gear away, as technicians came over to service the space pod. Once done putting things away David and Ren ran off muttering something about a shower and food.

Avril stayed behind with me. We both began heading out in the same direction as Ren and David.

"Sooo," Avril started. "You seemed pretty cozy with the Dracon? He was pretty hot. Even for a man who has killed countless people. He had that hot bad boy thing going on." She studied my face as she spoke. As though she was trying to assess what I thought about him.

I started to giggle. "Yeah he was hot alright, but scary as hell. But his voice. It was like silk in my ears. And he pulled off a smirk that could make any girl's knees weak."

"Yes he did." She replied. "So he is really going to help us?" She asked.

"That's what he said. If he can help us gain alliances that would be a big help." I sighed. I suddenly felt drained from everything. The adrenaline leaving me.

"Before we debrief with the General let's go shower. Maybe even grab some food..." Avril said.

"Yes a shower sounds so good right now. I feel like I have sand everywhere." I replied with a grin.

"Yeah me too. It's starting to chafe." She grinned at me. "Maybe after the debrief we can have a girls night, and just hang out?" She asked me.

"That would be incredible I replied. I will be nice to do something normal." I told her. I felt like ages that I had been able to do anything that even resembled what my life was like before all this happened.

After we had finished eating Angel walked in and beckoned us to follow him. We cleared our trays and walked after him. I was not sure what to expect.

Once in the chambers the same people were once again surrounding it, only this time there were five open seats. One for each of us that went on the mission. I sat in the same chair I had before, with Avril and Angel on either side of me.

I felt more comfortable with them sitting with me. It made feel more confident.

"I am sure Angel has filled you in on the details of the mission." I started first.

"Yes he has." He cleared his throat and continued, " As you know I had hoped it would not be the Assassin, but this could be to our advantage. With him working for us on the inside, we will be able to possibly get ahead of the Emperor. He can divert him. And help us gain more Alliances. With someone as well-known as him on our side other races will see the potential and want to join."

Everyone began talking at once. One person a man I was not sure who he was said, "Is there any way we can contact him. To let him know of our plans?"

Another spoke up after him, "what if he is only saying he is on our side. After all he did not talk to anyone else."

They all looked at me. I sighed, "no there's no way to talk to him, not without letting the Emperor know who he is." I lied. "He is on our side I can assure you. He will help us in his own way. We may not like what he does, but he assured me he would try his best to keep the Emperor's men from killing me, or potential alliances. To an extent anyways. He still has to keep face. Also if he had not trapped the others they would have surely attacked him. So what choice did he have? He did not hurt any of us, that is all the proof I need."

"What if his cover is blown and he is killed?" Another man said.

I had not thought of that. I had hardly had any time to think at all about what might happen.
