My heart racing in surprise as the light is shown on Jacob and I. A path is made for the two of us towards the stage and I look up at Jacob who smiles down at me. He takes my hand and leads the both of us down the path.

Everyone is clapping and cheering as we walk up the stairs of the stage. We both stand facing out to the crowd and I smile shyly to everyone. I can see my brother from the crowd with a proud smile.

Jacob is the first to be crowned then Sandra came over to me with a smile. A student beside her held the tiara on a small platform.

"Congratulations," Sandra says to me and I smile.

"Thank you." Sandra takes the tiara and puts it on my head. Soon the whole ballroom is chanting Jacob and my name.

"Your king and queen! Let's begin with their first dance!" Everyone cheers as I turn to Jacob who held his hand out for me to take. He led me off the stage and towards the center of the dance floor. Everyone made space and stood to watch us as we start the dance.

Jacob faces me now and I wrap my arms around his neck and he puts his hands on my hips as the slow song began. We slowly start to move to the beat and I kept my eyes on him. Soon others start to join and I rest my head on his shoulder.

I felt safe in his arms and I feel... happy. Everything feels perfect and I'm relaxed enjoying my time here tonight. I love everything that has happened so far since we have arrived here.

~Thirty minutes~

"Char?" I hear Jacob asks gently. I pull away from his shoulder as we continue to sway back and forth.

"Hmm?"

"Can I take you somewhere?"

"Right now?" Jacob nods and I smile. He unwraps his arms from me and takes my hand in his as he starts to lead me towards the side of the ballroom where the view of the lake was. Everyone congratulates us as we pass them and we thank them. Jacob opens the door for me and I immediately felt the warm summer air.

The sun has already gone down and Jacob had us follow a path that distances us away from the building. We pass beautiful scenery and a garden before we walk into an opening where there is a gazebo in the center.

Lights are lit around the opening and here was a cellist, violinist and pianist there close by the gazebo. Jacob leads me over to the gazebo and we stood inside. The perfect lighting and we hear music beginning. I look at the musicians and they are playing with passion. Jared stood from a distance and smiles at us.

I turn my attention back to Jacob and he places his hands on my hips. I wrap my arm around his neck what seemed like many tonight. Each dance with him I am getting lost in his eyes.

"You're my hero," I say softly as we began to sway back and forth.

"You amaze me Char. Thank you for letting me take you tonight," he says intently.

"I should be thanking you," I smile. "Jacob..." I start nervously. Trust yourself Char. Go with what your heart is telling you.

"Yes?"

"I want to tell you something."

"Okay," he says softly with a friendly smile.

"I... really like you Jacob." I look down nervously as my heart races. "I have been thinking a lot since Hayes and I broke up. I-I realized that I've been afraid to accept that there is more to than Hayes... because he was the only guy who has been a part of my life." I bit the inside of my lip.

"You don't have to be afraid to tell me," he says for me to only hear.

"I can't be happy with Hayes again, because I realize that he's my best friend. I confused love, because I never felt it before and Hayes was always my safety. I was scared to admit that to myself months ago."

"What are you trying to say now?" He brings a hand to my cheek and I now make eye contact with him. He is calm as he searches through my eyes.

"I really like you Jacob and I just want to tell you how happy and thankful that you're here with me tonight. I honestly am happy you're here with me instead." A smile crept on his face and he shows his teeth.

"You wouldn't want Hayes here?"

"I do, but as my best friend. I have some apologizing to do when he gets back." Jacob faintly smiles and nods.

"I like you a lot Char. I'm really happy to hear you tell me this." I smile and pull myself slightly closer to him. We continue to sway back and forth and he decides to twirl me before bringing me close to him again. His forehead leaned against mine as we slowly swayed back and forth. "Can... I kiss you?"

Instead of answering him. I bring his head down and close the gap in between us. His lips are soft and it felt like I was being lifted off my feet. My head feeling light and my heart flutters. It felt like a bliss and I had this warm sensation inside of me. Jacob smiles into the kiss and he brings me closer to him.

A guitar started to play from a distance.

As we slowly pull away, the kiss still lingers on my lips and I couldn't help, but to smile. Slowly I open my eyes to look at Jacob who is already staring back at me. I notice my lipstick on his lips and I reach up when he brings my hands down. I now bring my hands to his cheek and bring my lips back to his and he deepens the kiss this time.

"Char..."

"Yes?"

"Are you alright?" I smile and I bite the side of my lip feeling refreshed.

"I'm more than alright."

"What's on your mind?"

"You and how amazing our kiss was."

"I enjoyed our first kiss." A familiar tune comes on and I frown confused. I see a smile forming on his face and I don't understand where I know this song from. It's a familiar one, but my mind is all over the place.

"She would not show that she was afraid,
But being and feeling alone was too much to face,
Though everyone said that she was so strong,
What they didn't know is that she could barely carry on."

"Shawn?" I look away from Jacob and see Shawn from a distance. He is dressed in a tux with a guitar as he sang. He smiles once he notices that I am looking. I see Andrew, Shawn's photographer, here and Jared is taking pictures from different angles.

Shawn continued with the song. "But she knew that she would be okay, so she didn't let it get in her way..." I turn to Jacob, who wraps his hands around me and I put my arms around his neck as I put my head on his shoulder as we sway again, except to Shawn singing to A Little Too Much.

Dhakwbdw lets just all have a fangirl moment here. I hope I didn't rush too much into anything? But... THEY KISSED AND I'M SO HAPPY. How do you guys feel? Also Shawn is here!
