Mom came back with food, but left it on the table since Hayes and I were trying to put Char to sleep. My mom went out to get clothing for when Char leaves tomorrow. I carefully have been eating my portion of the food as my sister slept on my chest.

A soft knock sounds and the boys come in along with Andrew and Jared. I smile sheepishly and wave with my free hand. Shawn has a bouquet of flowers, Andrew has a card in his hand and Jacob has a wrapped gift in his hand.

Everyone gathers around the bed and takes a seat. I stare at Jacob unsure of what's going through his mind. She would have fallen asleep a lot quicker if he was here.

"How is she doing?" Andrew asks.

"She's finally resting," I half smile. "She didn't go to sleep until around eight thirty this morning."

"Took her that long?" Ethan asks. I nod and I notice Jacob uncomfortable about the new information he is getting.

"Jacob... don't." He's standing.

"I think I should wait outside." Before I can say anything to him, he walks out of the room.

"He hasn't slept either," Grayson says.

"I need to talk to him," I groan quietly so I don't wake Charlotte. I carefully unwrap my arms from her and she moves slightly. I freeze. I would really like if she rests at least just for a little while longer. I free my arm and slowly sit up. I put my shoes on and make my way out the room to find him leaning against the wall. "You're an idiot Jacob," I feel frustrated that he won't accept that my sister is going to be alright. He looks up towards me and sighs bringing his fingers through his hair.

"I'm messing everything up at this point," he sighs.

"Then fix things with her. Just talk to her and listen to what she has to say. She still needs you Jacob."

"I can't just go back in there knowing that I've hurt her."

"She doesn't care Jacob," I fling my hands in every direction very tired, because I haven't quite slept after having who knows how many beers last night. "I'm pretty sure the looks of when I've been with her, she wants you to be beside for her and caring for her. You're hurting her this way by not listening to her."

"I couldn't stay with her."

"Yes you could have! She asked for you too! She wanted you to hold her so she could sleep because you are her comfort. You may have said things to her, but she hasn't given up on you so why don't you all do us the favor and go apologize to her and just cuddle with my sister? I think she'd love your company."

"Really?"

"Dude, you wouldn't be standing here uninjured if I didn't think so." He nods and sighs.

"I'll talk to her when she wakes up."

"Good. Since you guys are here, I'm going to run to the bathroom." He nods as my shoulder relaxes.

"Jacob..." I mumble. Soon my thoughts are swirling with emotions and I open my eyes startled. I sit up almost immediately. Shifts in chairs and alertness comes to five people.

I look around with a blurry vision at first and Shawn and Grayson are the first people I see. Shawn is at my side with wide eyes.

"Char, you're alright," Shawn says softly and sits on the bed. He is careful since he is sitting on my left side and I have an IV needle put into my hand.
