Nash left the room and walked up the stairs. Their house was like a mansion. It was huge. I tried not to look around, but it was hard.

Hayes looked at me and smiled, "Wow, you didn't freak out meeting Nash. I didn't think we were going to see him. Usually my, err, friends don't meet him until I know them better. Is that okay if I call you my friend? I don't want anything to be awkward," Hayes said to me.

"Yeah that's fine with me!" I began saying, "And really some of your friends freak out?"

"I've seen 6 foot defensive football players freak out about meeting him!"

"Seriously?" I said trying to downplay him being Nash's brother, "It's not that big of a deal I guess."

"You're the first girl to ever say that to me! Usually girls, even in my grade, use me to get to Nash." He said sadly.

I didn't know what to say. I just stood there and stared at Hayes' sad blue eyes and thought how could someone be that mean to this sweet, gorgeous person.

"Anyways," he said, "Do you want to watch the football game on T.V? I wouldn't normally ask this, but you seem like you like football."

"Sure! I like it, but half of the time I have no clue what's going on!" I said laughing.

He started laughing, "Well don't worry, I don't know what's going on sometimes either," and put his arm around my neck.

We went down a long hallway and into his living room. Skylynn was in the room watching the football game.

"HAAYESS!" She screamed running up to him and hugging him.

"Hi Skylynn!" He said picking her up and hugging her.

"Who's she?" Skylynn asked.

"She's my friend from school, she moved here from Massachusetts. Her name's Abby" Hayes said.

"Hi Abby! You look really pretty!" She said with a big smile on her face.

I smiled back, "Aw thank you! You do too!"

She grabbed my hand and told me to sit down next to her on the couch and whispered, "Are you and Hayes dating?"
