Chapter 24

Thankfully, the three weeks went by quick, and before I knew it, I was leaving for Virginia on a plane with Hayes, Nila, and Nash.

During those three weeks though, I texted Aaliyah Mendes, Shawn Mendes' sister.

We were sharing a hotel room and would be together the whole weekend.

Right after lunch, my mom picked me up, and we went to the airport.

I found Hayes, Nila, and Nash.

Soon, we were on the plane.

It wasn't long before we were in Virginia.

We drove to the hotel and Nash and Hayes went in, while I helped Nila.

Aaliyah was already in our hotel room, so she texted me the room number.

"Hi!" She said hugging me.

"Hi!"

I went to put my stuff down when Hayes jumped out from behind somewhere and yelled "Me!"

I hit him with my pillow and said laughing, "Stop it, you're going to make me have a heart attack!"

Aaliyah got in on video and showed it to me, it was actually pretty funny.

Hayes put it on Vine and wrote the comment, "Abby isn't scared of 'me'!"

"Oh I get it now," I said laughing.

"Well you're slow," Hayes said laughing.

"Still faster than you!" I said.

"Really? Race you downstairs!" I said, "Go!"

He ran out the door and I started to run, but only ran to the door and shut it once he left.

Aaliyah and I fell on our beds laughing.

"Are there any other boys hiding in here?" I said laughing.

"I don't think so, I only knew about Hayes!" Aaliyah said laughing too, "I know this is off topic, but what are you wearing tomorrow?"

"I'm not sure, what are you wearing?"

"I forgot my MAGCON sweatshirt at home, so Bart said I could get one from the store and you could too! We could twin!"

"Okay!"

"Have you met him?" Aaliyah said, "We should go now and ask him if we can get the sweatshirts!"

"I haven't met him yet, and yeah we should!"

"He's in room 432!"

"Okay!"

We were going down the hallway when three girls came out of the elevator, saw us, and started to scream and take pictures.

Before they were close to us, a security guard came out of no where and escorted them back to the elevator.

"Does that happen a lot?" I asked Aaliyah.

"Actually yes! But you get use to it!"

We knocked on the door and Bart opened up.

"Hi Aaliyah!" He said hugging her. "Hi Abby! It's nice to finally meet the girl I've heard so much about!"

"Nice to meet you! I've heard much more about you than you've heard of me!"

"Everyone did say you were this nice!" Bart said smiling.

"Aw thank you!" I said.

"So I'm guessing you two ladies want something to wear tomorrow?"

"Yes sir!" Aaliyah said.

"I only have one sweatshirt with me that would fit you two, but I have one white beanie, is that fine?" Bart said.

"That seems fine!" Aaliyah said.

He handed us two plastic bags, one with a beanie, the other with the sweatshirt.

"I'd love to talk to you two, but I have to go pick up a few people from the airport!"

"Bye, thank you!" We both said.

We walked out of Bart's room to Aaliyah dad's room.

First, I was introduced to him and then Aaliyah said we were okay.

"Shawn said you two could go into room 479 where most of the boys are! Don't stay up too late!" Her dad said smiling.

"Okay, thank you, goodnight!" Aaliyah said and we left.

"Do you want to wear the sweatshirt or beanie?" I asked Aaliyah.

"I'll wear the sweatshirt, I guess! You probably look better in a beanie than me!"

"Okay," I said as we went into our room to put the beanie and sweatshirt down.

We knocked on 479 and we heard, "Ready?"

Well, that's not suspicious at all, so I covered my face.

When we opened the door up, we were sprayed with silly string.

"You're so mean Shawn!" Aaliyah said.

She got sprayed all over her, including her face, while I only had some on my shirt.

"Hayes," Nash said, "Did you tell Abby that we were going to do this?"

"No!" Hayes said.

"Abby, how did you know?" Shawn said.

"I heard someone say 'ready'."

"Oh," Nash said laughing.

I knew everyone in the room, Nash, Hayes, Cameron, Shawn, Taylor, and the two Jacks.

I was introduced to them, but I went on the MAGCON website a few days before, so I knew some things.

Aaliyah got a towel to wipe her face off and I just wiped my shirt off with my hand.

We got tired of the boys trying to pull pranks on us, so me and Aaliyah eventually left.

When we got to our room, Aaliyah said, "We should do a Q&A on Vine!"

"Yeah!" I said, so Aaliyah tweeted for people to ask questions.

We got a lot of normal questions, but one question people asked a lot was, "Abby, why are you still dating Hayes if you know he cheated?"

You could've been blind but still have seen the fear, confusion, and betrayal in my big blue eyes.
