Chapter 10
I feel asleep thinking about Hayes.
Woke up thinking about Hayes.
Walked downstairs thinking about Hayes.
Ate breakfast thinking about Hayes.
Pinched myself to stop thinking about Hayes.
Couldn't stop thinking about Hayes.
Slapped myself to stop thinking about Hayes.
I couldn't stop thinking about Hayes.
I forced myself to go on Instagram and Twitter.
1,678 mentions of #Habby alone on Instagram. My follower amount doubled, my likes tripled and I had so many comments on Instagram and Twitter, it couldn't count it.
"This is what is must be like to be famous," I thought.
I couldn't help myself, I started writing a text Hayes.
"Good morning," I texted not sure what to say. It's 7 A.M, I'm a morning person so I get up before my parents most days.
He texted me as soon as I sent my text, "Good morning, you wake up early!"
"Well you do too!"
"I set my alarm clock to wake me up at 6:30 every Saturday to work out."
"And you actually get up? I texted.
"Well I have to become good at football somehow!"
"Are you joking? I've seen you play, you're amazing!"
"Thanks, but compared to my brother, I'm not that good."
"Don't live up to your brothers standards, live up to yours."
"Well my standards are higher than his, so I need to start getting better sooner rather than later."
"You're a better person than me if you think that. I'll just eat some more cookies."
"You can eat all the cookies you want though, you have abs!"
"About my abs, I use to be 'fat'. I was really normal weight until I started throwing up all the time and lost a lot of weight. By the time I lost most of my body fat, I was diagnosed with Celiacs disease. That was a few years ago though, I am one of the rare and lucky people who outgrow the disease. But when I wasn't diagnosed yet and was extremely weak, I promised myself I would come out of the hospital stronger than ever so I worked out a lot and eventually got abs."
"Really?" He texted, "I had no clue! I think I like you 10x more now! So you can still eat stuff like bread?"
"Yeah, but I have to be careful and not eat too much of that stuff."
"I still don't believe you, that's incredible! But if anyone could do it, it'd be you!"
"Haha thanks!" I texted, not sure what else to say.
"I might come to your practice today!" He texted.
"You don't have to have to! It'd be better if you didn't tell me because then I wouldn't be focused on you :)"
"Okay I won't tell you if you won't tell me! I know you were planning to come to my Tuesday game by the way, my friend told me you looked at the schedule on your phone going out to the fields."
"Wow, your friends must be spies, or you tell them about me."
"Guilty! I guess you don't talk to your friends about me because they may attack you to get to me."
"Those girls are more like monkeys than my friends! They're crazy about you, but then again I am."
"Well you and those girls may be crazy about me, but the difference between you and them is...
... I'm crazy about you."
"Aw thanks, I love you!"
"I love you too babe."
He texted back immediately, "Is it okay that I called you that?"
"Definitely." I texted him back.
"Okay good," he texted, "I need to tell you something, do you have time?"
"All the time in the world."
My vision blurred in and out as I focused on the three dots as he wrote.
Five minutes later, he was still typing.
Soon after, I still saw the dots.
I still saw the dots.
