Being held at gunpoint I was left with only 3 options to choose from:

i. Try to escape with a minimal chance of survival

ii. Resist and die

OR

iii. Surrender and let them take control of my life

As much as I hated to admit it, the reality of the situation was that there was no way I would be able to escape, at least not with all of these people hanging around. By attempting to escape, I would only be dragged back again and it would also give the kidnappers reason to punish me further.

The only good resisting would lead to is death and it wouldn't end up helping anyone if I ended up dying, in fact it actually made matters worse for everyone. Clearly that option was ruled out.

Unfortunately that only left one choice remaining and it wasn't exactly my favourite either.

"So are you going make it easy for us or do we have to do this the hard way?" repeated the gruesome hooded figure towering over me. His voice sounded male and impatient, and I quickly realised that I still hadn't answered the question, although I probably didn't need to. This man already knew I couldn't escape, at least not without serious consequences.

"Do I have any choice?" I asked, making sure not to say anything I don't have to. Unfortunately that wasn't the answer this unknown enemy was looking for because a second later I was sprawled across the ground gasping for breath.

"I'll give you one more chance kid," whispered the man threateningly, "now come with us quietly or else this could end up turning quite ugly and painful, well at least for you."

Slowly I nodded my head to the satisfaction of my kidnapper. "Excellent, now listen to me carefully kid, you're going to walk over to the fountain to that man in the black coat over there and if you try anything I will not hesitate to shoot a bullet through your head, even if this is a public place," growled the man. To prove his point that he was not making any hollow threats, he jabbed the pistol into my back, making sure it was hidden from the public so that no one started to panic and cause a stampede.

After a slight hesitation I slowly nodded my head again, "Yes...sir," I muttered reluctantly.

Still groaning I dragged myself up onto my feet and, with my eyes cast down at the ground, trudged towards the waiting man, not making any sudden movements that could provoke them. The last thing I wanted was a bullet in the back of my head. Time seemed to slow down as I made my way over to the fountain.

" Good to see you made the choice to come quietly kid, although I would have had a blast teaching you a lesson," sneered the man in the black coat, " all I want you to do for now is follow me and get into the car." He sounded as though he had a slight Dutch accent.

The walk to the car took approximately 5 minutes. Throughout the whole time, I didn't dare glance up in fear of my captors continuing on their threat on killing me. Finally we stopped. The car was a black ford and from the looks of it, the car was also brand new.

"Alright kid, now get in the car and don't make any sudden movements and we won't have to tie you up," announced the first hooded figure, who had caught up to us from behind.

I didn't really care whether they did tie me up or not, either way I wouldn't be able to escape. I already knew these kidnappers were fully equipped and dangerous. So I allowed myself to be pushed into the back of the car without a fight. We drove off and just like that my life was turned upside down.
