**************************************************************
I had been locked in a small white room for what felt like an eternity (I'm pretty sure it's only been a couple of hours, but anyway...), which I was currently pacing around it, to keep my mind off other...things.
There was literally nothing in the entire room, and I'm not exaggerating! That is all the explanation needed however, I'm bored so I have decided to give you every detail about this seemingly boring, bland room. There were four of those artificial, florescent lights beaming down on me and, I had to squint my eyes if I looked up for a long period of time. Otherwise the walls, floor and ceiling were bare. No windows, no door, no escape. Like I said not a lot.
The hairs on the back of my neck had risen and I had a sneaking suspicion that I was being watched however, when I turned around all I saw was nothing other than white. So, I went back to the only thing I could to stop myself from going crazy, I started pacing the room for the millionth time.
Now I know what a caged animal feels like in a zoo. If (I know I'm being pessimistic, just go with it) I ever get out of these people's clutches, I am totally starting a campaign to free the animals. No one, animal or person, should have to go through this type of torture. It would drive anyone to the point of insanity, except for maybe a monk...
I had first woken up in this room, not because I wanted to, but because my stomach was tight, my head was sore and I felt awful.
As soon as this idea popped into my mind, every other thought and memory I'd been trying to keep locked up forced its way out as well. Memories of the recent past came back to haunt me and my imprisoned emotions used that as an opportunity to flood out and overwhelm me.
The guilt, the fear, the anger and the pain came back to torment me, closing in on me from around the whole room. Quite literally. If I focused on any of the walls for too long, the images of the events that had just taken place, would jump out at me. The two unmoving bodies covered with blood lay before me, fear still etched across every part of their lifeless faces. Cordelia. And Penelope. I didn't care if Cordelia had ever been a snob. She had gone back for her friend.
And she was dead because of it.
I shook my head and the bodies disappeared. If only they could leave my memory so easily.
I was so confused. What was happening to me? Why did I keep reliving this dreadful memory? I already felt guilty and this was just making me worse.
In a matter of seconds, I was in a corner on the floor, trying to block everything out by closing my eyes and humming any random song that sprang to mind. My tactics didn't keep the pain out for long. Nothing seemed to work.
Then everything just stopped. Silence took over and for a brief moment I was actually hoping my awful memories would come back cause let's face it, anything is better than silence. Then something strange happened.
My memories just disappeared and a manifestation of my mind appeared before me instead. The two girls, Penelope and Cordelia, were standing in front of me and they weren't alone.
