Forgotten Memories

It was a warm summer day. The cool breeze was whipping through my blonde hair and lightly kissing my cheek. To me, it was a perfect day in London.

My parents were sitting behind me, near a small turquoise stream and I heard laughter in the distance. They had huge smiles and were watching me from where they sat in the shade with a delicious picnic spread out in front of them.

"Hey Jason, come here before your father eats your share of the food!" my mum yells out.

"Coming mum!" and quickly I run up to where my parents are waiting to start lunch.

"Well you sure took your time sport, I was starting to worry that I'd have to start eating without you," laughed my dad.

"Well we can start now!" I replied eager to dig into my mums homemade cooking.

Just as I picked up a chicken and lettuce sandwich something out of the corner of my eye momentarily distracts me. And that's when she appears. She's like an angel out of a fairy tale. Her slightly wavy honey blonde hair was complimented with her all so familiar bright turquoise eyes that shone in the warm afternoon sun.

I could just make out her voice. As soft and sweet as bells chiming a calming lullaby. Her lips were moving, repeatedly saying the same phrase.

"Jason, Jason, Jason, please Jason, please come to me," repeatedly being whispered in her sweet melodic voice. As much as I tried racking my brain, I just couldn't seem to attach a name to the face of this angel.

I finally gave up trying to remember so I looked over at my parents and asked, "Hey mum, dad, uh, do either of you know who that girl is over there?"

The first thing my parents do is glance at each other. Second reaction, glance at the living an- I mean the pre- the uh girl in the distance. Once they get a good look at her, final reaction being another glance at each other before bringing there stares back to me. Finally! Being a 9 year old boy really makes you impatient.
