Andy's P.O.V

"So what do you want to do this weekend?" I ask David over the phone as I paint my toe nails.

Emily was busy catching up with her studies and Nate was just being secretive about why we couldn't meet up. But I didn't want to be a clingy girlfriend so I didn't complain. Which left only David.

"Can't we just watch a movie at my place and complain about the freaks were dating.....willing-fully." He replies with a sigh causing me to laugh.

"Don't call my best friend a freak.....even if it's true."

"Yeah yeah, so my place Saturday at 6?" He asks.

"Yep, we can watch The Fault in Our Stars again and I can watch you cry again." I reply laughing.

"We agreed to never speak of that again!" He whispers harshly into the phone causing me to laugh even more. He gets angry and hangs up, I shrug and continue to paint my nails.

When I finish and they dry, I jump into bed and let sleep overtake me.

---------------

"I'm really sorry I can't meet up." Nate says as we eat lunch together with Emily and David.

"Stop fretting, it's cool."

"I want to, I'm just.....busy." He replies looking away, I frown.

"What do mean busy? You've been so cryptic lately." I question.

"Don't worry about it." He says sternly. He was really starting to piss me off, why bring it up if you won't tell me?

"If you don't want me to worry about it, then don't bring it up!" I say angrily before grabbing my bag and stomping away. I didn't feel bad for snapping, he was really starting to piss me off. I grab some books from my locker and sit in my class, waiting patiently for lunch to end.

What the hell was he hiding?

Nate has always been closed off, but I liked to believe he wasn't so closed to me or at least that he was beginning to open up to me. It was just annoying that he always blamed whatever he was hiding on being 'busy'.

My teacher, Mr.Thomas, walks in the class and jumps slightly at my presence causing me to laugh. He and I always got along well, even though he was brutally honest and extremely blunt.

"Why the hell are you so early Andy?" Mr.Thomas asked holding his chest, I smile.

"I could ask you the same thing." I reply with a grin.

"Children these days......back in my day, I'd be slapped for talking to an adult like that." He says as he unpacks his bag.

"Just wanted to get away from someone." I reply with a chuckle.

"And why is that?"

"They just.....keep hiding stuff from me." I reply as my smile fades from my lips.

"Well something I've learnt over the years Andy is.........if they've been hiding something for a while, then they won't just open up because you come along. Takes time, you just gotta stand by and wait until they're ready to tell you about it." He finishes as she leans back into his chair.
