"Daryl this was Merle." Glenn said, as Rick, Daryl and Ophelia came into a small room where the group were hiding. "He did this."
Daryl pursed his lips, Ophelia had said something about his brother, but he thought that she might have just been hallucinating. It was bizarre, and shocking, to think that all this time, Merle had been living under his nose.
"You saw him? Face to face?" Daryl asked, as Rick laid Ophelia down next to Maggie.
"Threw a walker at me. Was gonna execute us." He said. "And God knows what to Ophelia."
"S-so my brothers this Governor?" Daryl said in disbelief — he refused to believe that his brother could do that to his friends.
"No it's somebody else." Maggie said, running a hand through her hair. "Your brother is his lieutenant or something."
"Does he know?" Rick asked Glenn — his eye was swollen and a nasty huge bruise was smeared on his face. He'd been horribly beaten.
"He does now Rick. I'm sorry." Glenn said somewhat ashamed. "Me and Maggie couldn't hold out. We told him where the prison was."
"Don't, no need to apologise." Rick told them. "We have to get back, can you walk?"
"I'm good." Glenn nodded, wincing in pain as he balanced himself.
"Alright." Rick said, turning around to face Maggie, who was re-tying the binding on Ophelia's foot. "How is she?"
"She'll be fine. But, her wounds will need a lot of cleaning back at the prison." Maggie replied. "She's lucky."
"Okay, then let's get going before they find us." Rick said, looking out of the window.
Everyone then stood up and prepared to leave. Maggie and Glenn held up Ophelia, throwing an arm over each of their shoulders. Both of them were too worn out and beaten to carry her on their own, so they carried her together.
"Hey, if Merles around, I need to see him." Daryl said quietly to Rick before they left.
"Not now." Rick said with a shake off his head. "We're in hostile territory."
"He's my brother!" Daryl insisted. "I ain't—"
"Look at what he did!" Rick hissed, gesturing at Maggie, Glenn and Ophelia. "Look we gotta, we gotta get out of here now."
