"NOTHING ABOUT WHAT Daryl and Ophelia found screams Sophia to me, anybody could have been holed up in that house."

Simultaneously, they're eyes narrowed into slits -  Shane feeling the sudden gazes of Daryl and Ophelia burning into his face. He quickly decided to keep his lips zipped, and placed his hands stubbornly on his hips.

"Anybody includes her right?" Griffin piped up, as beside him Andrea nodded her head. Dale admired his optimism from where he was examining the map, whilst T-Dog and Rick silently watched the conversation unfold.

"Damn right it does." His sister agreed. Removing her harsh glare off off Shane and onto Daryl who released a gentle huff and took the next opportunity to speak.

"Whoever slept in that cupboard was no bigger than yay-high." He said, signalling the child's height with his hand hovering above the ground.

Rick pinched the bridge of his nose, adding, "it's a good lead, maybe we'll pick up her trail again."

Before Ophelia could even open her lips to reply, the red neck beside her pointed to a section of the map and had already proclaimed, "no maybe about it, i'm gonna borrow a horse, head up this ridge right here, take a birds eye view of the whole grid. If she's up there, I'll spot her"

"Maybe you'll see your chupacabra up there too." T-Dog laughed, earning a scowl from Daryl.

     "A chupacabra?" Rick asked.

"You never heard of this?" T-dog asked in both disbelieve and amusement. "The first night at camp Daryl tells us that the whole thing reminds him of a time when he went squirrel hunting and he saw a chupacabra."

"What you brayin' at, jackass?" Daryl turned to Rick, who simply asked the redneck with a smirk prying on his lips, "you believe in a blood sucking dog?"

"Do you believe in dead people walkin' around?"

And with that, Daryl rolled his blue eyes and then left to go and gather a horse from the stables, this time, determined that he would find the child and return her to her mother.

SOPHIA WAS ALIVE. She had to be - the girl must be roaming the woods nearby, or taking refuge within an old shack near by. Or perhaps she was following the water trail, attempting to find her way back to the highway. Either way, a new found faith overwhelmed Daryl, as in his hands he grasped the child's doll.
