The Riggs : run baby run

DARYL, OPHELIA AND GLENN all came to a sudden halt as they heard the sound of a gunshot ring loudly throughout the farm. They all exchanged a confused look, unsure of where it came from.

"What the hell was that?" Ophelia asked with furrowed brows.

"I don't know, but Rick and Shane are the only other people out there with a gun." Glenn said, turning to look behind.

" — that we know off." Daryl added.

"But, surely they'd be back by now." The girl thought out loud, running her teeth over her lips.

"Well, there's only one way to find out." Glenn said, as he swiftly made his way over to the farmhouse where everyone in the group was waiting. Daryl and Ophelia followed behind, still confused by the gunshot that they heard.

As the three of them walked into the farm house, they saw that everyone was loitering in the living room. Lori and Carol were sat on the couch waiting nervously, whilst everyone else was pacing. Ophelia quickly noticed that Carl wasn't there — but, when she remembered it was way past his bed time, she put her worries to rest.

"Rick and Shane ain't back yet?" Daryl asked, walking into the room. Everyone raised their heads upon hearing his voice.

"No." Lori replied — she wished they were. She didn't like the idea of her husband and her ex lover being alone together.

"We heard a shot." Someone said worriedly. "Maybe they found Randell?"

"We found Randell." Ophelia told them, folding her arms over her chest — she was still left with the question of who fired that gunshot. She couldn't help but think something was going on with Rick and Shane. Maybe that was why he was acting so...off.

"We found him...as a walker." Glenn cut in, walking over to join Maggie, who was biting on her thumbnail nervously.

"Weird thing is he wasn't bit." Daryl sighed heavily. "His neck was broke."

"So he fought back?" Lori said like it was obvious.

"The thing is, Shane and Randall's tracks were right on top of each other. And Shane ain't no tracker, so he didn't come up behind him. They were together." Daryl told the group, and everyone furrowed their brows in confusion — why did Shane lie?
