"Mr Ashkar is on the line, you promised you'll return to him within the hour..."
"Oh yeah, I was just so busy with the Koster project. Pass him to me and please reschedule the meeting with Mrs Laila to another day next week, preferably on Monday or Tuesday. "
"But you already rescheduled the meeting with her last time, I don't think she'd be happy to hear about it..."
Timothy paused and let out a sigh of frustration.
"Okay then, me and the old lady shall meet as scheduled. Send a mail to everyone about the presentation tomorrow,  it'll be in meeting room 4. Oh and did you already get the papers I needed from the bank?"
"Yes, they already at the accounting department. "
" Good work, please pass Mr Ashkar ".

Timothy was slowly getting into the job, and it was full of difficulties but he did his best not to give in to the pressure. Beginnings were always tough. His father was right when he said he had people to rely on, he even got along well with his father's secretary which he hated to begin with but she proved to be of great help and although he still didn't like her as a person, he didn't let that get in the way and acted professionally, letting her know his appreciation every now and then.
His parents were leaving today for their two month trip and he was happy for them, knowing how much they needed it. He managed to squeeze into his tight schedule seeing them off at the airport. He had mixed feelings about their departure- on one hand he felt a bit anxious that they were leaving at this rough time when he was just getting into his new role, not quite settled in. He thought his father would be there at least for the first few weeks and even though he promised he'd be available on the phone, Timothy knew that the time differences wouldn't allow it most of the time, so to put it bluntly he was all by himself.
But there was a positive side to all this as well, Timothy felt a great relief . He had less to deal with on the personal aspect, because as much as he loved his parents, they were the main source to his stress. His thoughts always revolved around them, mostly his father, whenever he made decisions or behaved in a way he thought his father would surely criticize if he was aware of it. He didn't have to deal with their pestering or their seemingly innocent nagging about children and expanding the family. Yes it was only for two months but it was still something, definitely the longest period of time without them.
He could meet up with Archibald without panicking that his father would somehow notice that something was off.
Speaking of said devil, he didn't send any messages since last week, maybe he was busy with work?
Or maybe he found someone else
Timothy shook his head at the thought,  even if Archibald did, why would he care? They only done it a few times, nothing serious, he was blackmailed to begin with.
If he found someone else it would be in Timothy's best interest, he already had a lot on his head without that man.
So why did it upset him so much thinking about it?
Maybe it was pent up sexual frustration, it's been a few days and his body was already used to Archibald's libido. But what could he possibly do? send him a message?
He was pretty sure blackmails didn't work that way. It was too embarrassing to do such a thing, that cocky bastard would have a good laugh and mention it all the time. So basically all he could do was wait.
Wait in anticipation for my blackmailer to text me. Yep nothing's wrong with that one.
"Yes Mr Ashkar, I'm with you, how are you?"

"I need to buy a dress for next week, a red one or maybe black," she paused "No, definitely a red, it would go well with the necklace you bought me. Timothy what do you think? "
Timothy was doing his best not to sigh in frustration as she addressed him. She already had so many dresses, why buy a new one? so she could wear it once and throw it at the back of the closet?
"I think you'll look lovely at any dress Lizzy, red or black or blue--"
"For sure not blue, everyone seems to wear it lately and it really doesn't compliment me. God I'm so excited! I'm gonna look so great!"
Timothy just rolled his eyes and focused back on the road, they were on their way to the airport to say goodbye to his parents.
He didn't understand Lizzy's excitement, it was just a simple anniversary party for Carmichael Enterprises. Well as simple as Carmichael can be but still, they were only invited as simple guests that were associated due to work, meaning it was a like a professional meeting. Maybe he was uptight about it but he never liked those kind of parties and having fun as part of the job seemed absurd to him. It was more of an opportunity to make more business connections with other much more influencing guests.
The invitation said he could bring aside for his wife, two more colleagues so he chose Johnson and Collins, they deserved that much.
After an hour long drive that took most of Timothy's will power,  they got to the airport and met with his parents. To say it was an emotional farewell would be an understatement, his mother made sure of that. After that he and Lizzy went shopping for the perfect dresses, because at the end she bought a red one and a black one .
Getting home was bless,  that day was too long.
"I think I'll go to bed straight after showering " Timothy yawned.
"I'm ordering chinese, don't you want to at least eat before you sleep?"
"No, thanks but I'm tired so just leave what's left in the fridge and I'll eat it tomorrow" .
He dragged himself upstairs and took a quick shower before he got in bed and let sleep take him.
