"Just let me go." I said through gritted teeth, "Why do you even need me?"

"Oh, my dear." I flinch away as he reaches down to run his fingers through my hair, "You have no idea how important you are."

I fix him with a glare, "What are you doing to me?"

He laughs, so sinisterly that it sends a shiver down my spine, "I'm giving you the potential to be great. The chance to be powerful!" He yells.

"I don't want that." I spat, "I don't want any of this!"

"You don't know what you want, my dear girl." He grins at me before walking over to the metal table beside him, picking up a scalpel.

He leans in, running the blade over my jaw, leaving the skin under it burning.

"You'll thank me when all of this is over." He whispers.

"No." I muttered, "No, stay away from me."

"It'll only take a minute." He ignores my pleas, digging the scalpel into my wrist.

The next moments were a haze, all I remembered was my screams from the excruciating pain echoing through the halls and blood-so, so much blood.

I shot up in my bed, still gasping for air. Burying my face in my hands, I try my best to calm myself down.

It was just a dream. I try to reassure myself, but it just didn't seem to be working. Then why does it all seem so real?

"Oh, god." I groaned.

My head throbbed with an unrelenting headache.

I glance at the clock by bed. It's still early, which means I haven't been asleep that long, only a couple of hours.

Dragging myself out of bed, I fish a bottle of aspirin that I had packed, out of my bag, swallowing a couple of tablets before throwing on some clothes.

I grab my computer, hacking into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s system like I've done dozens of times before.

Plopping on my bed, I begin pulling up footages from the cameras around the boat, scanning them to see if I've missed anything while I was asleep.

I settle on two tabs, one of the detention section where Fury is interrogating Loki, timestamped just a couple of minutes ago and the other, a live feed of the briefing room where the rest of the team has gathered.

"Loki's going to drag this out." The Captain spoke, "So, Thor. What's his play?"

"He has an army called the Chitauri. They're not of Asgard or any other world known." The God explains, "He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the earth. In return, I suspect for the Tesseract."

"An army?" Steve says thoughtfully, "From outer space?"

I tune out, piecing information together. That's what he need Selvig for; to built a portal to the other dimension.
