TONY

The news of Natasha's death struck all of us hard, but it has also given us a newfound determination to defeat Thanos.

All Nat had wanted was Cam's return and a chance for her Sister to live out her life. For that, she was willing to sacrifice her life and we weren't about to let that sacrifice go to waste.

I sat in front of the glass screen that gave me a clear view of the gauntlet as I worked on it, Rocket and Bruce silently watching on beside me.

I take a deep breath, before gentle setting the stones into their spots on the gauntlet, not realising that I've been holding my breath until I let out a sigh relief when the Stones fit perfectly without any complications.

"Boom!" Rocket yells, breaking the silence and making both Bruce and I jump in shock.

My heart was still racing when I glare at him, resisting the urge to choke the life out of the stupid raccoon.

"Don't do that!" Bruce scolds.

The room is filled with the racoon's howling laughter. He laughs so hard he falls to the ground, clutching his stomach.

I let out a grunt in annoyance before heading to retrieve the finally completed gauntlet. I could feel the power if emitted just holding onto it.

"This is it." I muttered looking up at Bruce, "Time to get the team. Let's do this."

Soon, the rest of the team gathers in the lab. I stare at the Gauntlet silently, wondering the same thing everybody else was probably wondering; who's it going to be?

"All right, the Gauntlet's ready. The question is, who's going to snap their freaking fingers?" Rocket finally pops the question.

"I'll do it." Thor says, confidently stepping forward towards the gauntlet.

"Excuse me?" I furrow my brows at him.

He shrugs me off, continuing to reach for the gauntlet, "It's okay."

Immediately, everybody rushes forward to stop him, our voice drowning each other's out as we spoke over each other.

"Wait, wait. Thor, just wait!" Steve finally stops him, "We haven't decided who's going to put it on yet."

"Oh, I'm sorry. What were you just sitting around waiting for the right opportunity?" The Asgardian asks.

"We should at least discuss it." Scott says.

"Look, us sitting here staring at that thing isn't going to bring everybody back." Thor tries to reason, "I'm the strongest Avenger, okay? So this responsibility falls upon me."

I let out a sigh, a part of me understood where he was coming from. He talks a big game about how he's worthy and how he's the strongest Avenger, but I knew the reason he wanted to be the one to do it was none of that. It was because of guilt, he thinks he's responsible for our losses, and frankly, I felt that too.

"It's my duty. I-it's-" Thor stammers.

I stepped forward to try to dissuade him, "Look, it's not that-" I start to speak but he cuts me off.
