The team split off to take their places as soon as we touch down in Sokovia. The twins have already managed to start getting most people to evacuate, but there were still too many civilians around.
"We're not going to get all of them out of here in time." I say to Steve, who had the same worried look reflected on his face.
"Hopefully, Stark will be able to stall him. Buy us more time." He says.
Just as the words leave his mouth, one of Ultron's robots crawls its way out of the ground, making the crowd hysterical.
I nock an arrow into my bow, setting it free as the bot starts charging at us. The arrow sinks into its head, taking it down, but as soon as it does, dozens more appear.
"Looks like luck isn't really on our side, Cap." I grumble, switching out my bow for my blades. "Get the people off the streets. I'll handle this." I say, to which Steve nods in reply.
I charge forward, sinking my blades into the nearest bots and advancing on the next. The bots seemed to be coming from everywhere in a never-ending stream.
I duck behind a car as a robot fires a blast at me. I summon up a portal in front of me, giving me a full view of the bots behind the car and fire a couple of arrows at them through the portal.
Soon, I find myself being overwhelmed and vastly outnumbered as the bots continue to pour onto the streets. I somehow manage to juggle fighting off three robots at once but failed to notice that one had its blaster aimed right at me.
I suck in a gasp, but just before the robot could fire, Steve's shield comes smashing into it, shattering the bot to pieces.
"Thanks." I say, trying hard to catch my breath.
I furrow my brows as I feel the ground start to rumble beneath my feet.
"You feel that, Cap?" I ask.
He nods, looking just as unsettled as I felt. Steve and I rush to the crumbled edges as Sokovia starts to break off from the rest of the earth.
"Do you see? The beauty of it, the inevitability. You rise only to fall." Ultron's voice echos, "You, Avengers are my meteor. My swift and terrible sword and the earth will crack with the weight of your failure. Purge me from your computers, turn my own flesh against me. It means nothing."
A shiver runs down my spine as I nocked arrow after arrow, taking down several bots only to have more coming at me.
"When the dust settles, the only thing living on this earth, will be metal." Ultron finishes.
Steve and I fight back to back, taking down as many of these bots as we can. I swing my bow in an upward arc towards the closest robot, taking it down.
I spot a bot flying fast towards us, "Cap!" I yell, but it was too late.
The bot tackles Steve, sending him crashing into a nearby car.
"Cap, you've got incoming." Stark informs, a little too late.
"Incoming already came in." Steve groans as I help him off the windshield of the car.
