Chapter 19: Hungover and Movie Night

I woke up to the sun shining on my face and brighten up the room. I rolled over and looked at the time, it's quarter to eleven. Today is one of those days of just wanting to chill and do absolutely nothing.

I laid in bed and checked through my phone, I have nothing but notifications from Instagram. From everyone posting pictures from last night and tagging me in them. I loved them all, we all look so good last night and had so much fun. I haven't laughed and smiled so much in a really really long time.

My stomach started making noises so I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to freshen up. I grabbed my phone and went downstairs to the kitchen.

"Hey guys" I said as I came into the kitchen.

They are sitting around the breakfast table drinking coffee and talking.

"Hey" they all said.

I made myself a cup of coffee, grabbed a biscuit off the pan and sat down with everyone.

"I don't want to do anything today, let's have a chill day ?" Sophia asked us.

"I'm down, I'm completely hung over" Amilia said massaging her temples.

"Me too" Chase groaning.

"I mean I would too if, I drunk as much as you did" I said joking around.

"Haha very funny" Chase said not in the mood to joke around.

I rolled my eyes and ignored him. He's completely a bore today.

"Let's go get some movies and junk food for tonight?" Logan asked Liam."then let's go in the game room and play some games" Logan added.

"Yeah, let's go" Liam said getting up and putting his dishes in the sink.

"Alright we'll be back" Logan said and they left us.

"I'm going to go lay down for a little bit" Chase said getting up.

"Yeah me too" Amilia said following after Chase.

"Last night was so much fun" Sophia said while drinking her coffee.

"Yes! So much fun" I said picking up the table and kitchen.

"The paparazzi was crazy though, I wonder what they are saying" Sophia said interested.

"Probably lies" I said as I washed the dishes.

"True" Sophia said cleaning off the counter.

We finished cleaning the kitchen and we sat down at the counter and was on our phones. I'm looking at all the photos we took last night. They came out so good and I look genuinely happy... not a force smile or fake one. I totally forgot what I looked like smiling. Wow that's so sad to think that.

"Olivia can I ask you something ?" Sophia asked me out of no where.

"Yeah" I told her, confused.

"Why did you cover for him?" She asked me.

I stopped looking at the photos and looked at her. "What?" I asked in shock.

"Why did you make excuses for Ryan? Even when you finally left him, you still made excuses for him why?" She asked me.

I sat there trying to think why did I... After everything, why? He mentally and physically hurt me.. why did I make excuses...

"I don't know, maybe because I didn't know how to stop making excuses for him." I told her. "Or I hoped he would go back to the way he was when we met"
