Escape from Tragedy

Chapter 34: Its beginning to look a like lot....

"So this year for Christmas, I'm thinking we do secret Santa, it would be fun." Amilia suggested while she made us a cup of coffee.

"Yeah, that would be fun, I'll write our names on a paper and we will draw names" Sophia said getting up and going to get paper, pen and a cup.

"What are the rules?" Chase asked Amilia.

"I say the budget nothing over one hundred dollars, keep it meaningful and obviously don't tell anyone who you got." Amilia said explaining the rules.

"When should we exchange gifts, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?" Liam asked us.

"I say Christmas Day, since on Christmas Eve we do stockings" Logan told us.

"Christmas Day it is, now pick a name" Sophia said as she gave the cup to Chase to choose.

It is my turn to pick a name and I got Sophia... she will be easy. I already started thinking of gift ideas... I remember her saying she wanted a denim over sized jacket kinda distressed with her name stitched on it in the back... I think that is what I'll get her.

Once everyone picked their name, we drunk our hot coffee and ate apple pie. We started talking about the big surprise we have for everyone when they come. I can't wait to tell them, also just to see everyone. Only one day left until they are all here.

A Day Later....

"So the car should be picking them up now" Amilia said as she made herself a cup of coffee.

"I'm so excited" I said real happy to see my family...even my family from Spain. These next two weeks are going to be so much fun. All of us together, finally. The last time we were all together was almost nine months ago.

"Well we should probably go get ready, real quick" Sophia mentioned looking at our attire.

We are still in our pajamas, it was a late night. last minute shopping, cleaning the house, making sure the arrangements are still going as planned, we have groceries for today. Yesterday was long...

We went upstairs to our rooms, I went to my bathroom and started doing my hair and makeup. For my makeup, I kept it simple, just foundation, filled in eyebrows, concealer, setting powder, mascara, little bit of bronzer and highlight, also some chapstick on my lips. I brushed through my hair, putting some argon oil in it. I'm having a good hair day. I went to my closet and stood there thinking what to wear. I really want to be comfortable.... but I know we are going somewhere today...

I grabbed my denim high waist jeans, a burgundy bra, a thin cream, loose, long sleeve sweater. I put on some socks and put on my black suede boots. I then put my mom necklace, earrings and bracelet on, I sprayed some perfume. I grabbed my phone and walked out my room.

"They are here!!" Sophia yelled running down the stairs pushing me out the way.

"Sophia!!" I yelled after laughing but kinda serious cause I almost fell.

Sophia opened the door, the cold air rushing through. I followed after her and there was eight black Escalade out front. The drivers came around and opened the doors. My family came out the car super excited to see us. We all ran towards each other giving hugs and kisses. The drivers took the luggage into the house for us. My North Carolina and Spain family are all here. I couldn't help but feel true happiness and excitement.

"Come on in" I said walking up the stairs, and into the house.

"Yes, show us the house" Aunt Debra said as she came into the house.
