Someone in need of saving...

Kai's POV

" Hyaa!!!" I yelled punching the wall. " What a jerk! Who does he think he is, knocking around the place, and then tell me that my anger is blocking my true fighting ability!" I kicked the wall, and my foot broke through. " ah!" I gasped, at the shock of it.

After he get's his foot free....

" Darn it!" I yelled, knocking down the dummy. " What does he care about me anyway!" I growled, still punching the bag. " So what if I use my anger, I mean I still defeat the bad guy, right?!"

I stopped for a moment, and glimpsed at the photo hanging on the wall. It was all of us...when we were still a team....We lost Zane once, I promised him we would never lose him again....but looks like I'm just full of empty promises..

" I'm sorry, Zane.." I whispered under my breathe. " You were never suppose to be there, you weren't suppose to die again!" I growled, punching the dummy again, this time sending it across the room.

" That's it, I'm done! If that guy wants to fight again then, so be it! I'll be ready and I'll prove to him that I'm to my senses!" I yelled to the sky.

It was still early, but I came to challenge the man again. " Hey, I know it's early and all, but I got a bone to pick with you and it can't wait!' I yelled.

Suddenly a flash of white blinded me, and knocked me to the ground.

" Hey, what was that for?!" I yelled at him.

The man turned around, and only his blue eyes gleamed in the dark. " My apologies, I did not see you there.." he stated in a low and steady voice.

I jumped to my feet, and looked at him. " You came?"

" You called." he replied back. " Are you ready to defeat me?" he asked.

I nodded my head and got into a battle stance. " Heck yeah I am!" I smiled.

The figure nodded his head. " Very well, but I must warn you....this will end the same way as last time.."

" Really how can you tell?" I asked, my voice on the edge.

" Your energy, you still have not found peace, and it's burning you from the inside.." he stated. I gasped softly, how did he?

" What are you trying to say?" I asked, lowering my fist. The man gazed into my heart, and his eyes glowed.

" You mourn for a fallen brother, for a part of you that has died....the pain and guilt that you bear in your heart cannot stay hidden much longer, and soon it will destroy you.." he stated, his gaze still steady.

" Why you!" I yelled. " You know nothing about my life!" I ran towards him and prepared to attack him. The man dodged and kicked my side.

" ARgh!" I gasped, jumping back to avoid him. I used my fire and threw a fireball at him. The man simply touched it and water appeared. " What the?!"

" Fire cannot harm me, at least not pure fire.." he stated, and this time he fought back. Jumping into the air, the crescent moon's light distracted me, and I didn't see him coming down on me. Kneeing me in the gut, I collapsed to the ground...again...

" Ow...." I groaned, sitting up. There the man was sitting next to me. I laid back down. " Why are you still here?"

The man remained silent, and then gave me a small cup. " Drink this." he placed the cup in my hand. I sat up and looked at the strange cup. " It will help you.."

I grumbled, and took a sip from it. The taste of it was good, but it seemed familiar...like I had it before. " Why are you helping me?" I asked, sipping from the cup.

" You were injured, and I had the knowledge to help you...I may be a stranger, but you were someone in need, and I came to answer your call." he stated.

Someone in need? I thought. " Zane...his name was Zane, and I lost him a few months ago.." I said. The man froze a bit, and then turned to me.

" I know, but you cannot let his death consume you." he stated.

" It's harder than you think.." I said, my eyes flashing a bit red.

" I see, death to me is not a sad thing, it is more like an ending of one's life here, but an opening to another...Actually, it is quite confusing.." the man stated.

I looked at him weird. " What do you know of death?"

That was when the man's eyes glowed brightly with blue. " More than you know." he said, then getting up, and looked down at me. " I will wait for you, until the day you will defeat me. Only then will your weary heart find peace.."

With that the warrior in white disappeared in the shadows and I was left on that pebble ground, alone. " Who are you?"
