PLEASE READ:
So for those of you who don't know (tho you can probably tell from my bad americanisms) I'm British and right now I'm in year 11 about to take my final GCSE Exams (soooo nervous) so I've got a lot on and barely any time however -
I have had some requests to update more often so I am going to remain updating Mondays but I'm going to try and update on Thursdays as well.
My point is I am doing this for my readers so if I miss an update within the next few weeks please excuse me as I am super stressed and have really bad anxiety right now, I'm trying my best to make everyone happy and while I love this book A LOT it's not my priority right now.
That being said after my exams which end on the 16th of June I will be fully focused throughout the summer my lovely...
Hopefully you learn more about Olivia Granges past and how she ended up where she is now. Please enjoy.
________Two years ago...
The streets were hot with pollution and spring sun rays, beating down on my back as I carried my school books back to my car where I would drive back to my mums house where I lived with my mum, my brother and my fiancé.
We'd been together since we were fifteen and he proposed to me exactly one month ago on my 19th birthday.
You may think that we were way too young, but age doesn't matter when you think you are madly in love.
'Think' being the operative word here.
We lived in a five bedroom house, quite out of the way from the centre of Chicago and we were as happy as any other couple. He came to England with me where we both studied A Levels. We got back last year and he jumped straight into work, while I wanted to study at university.
Mum was one of the top surgeons at the nearby hospital. My father left us quite a bit of money but disappeared when I was young not leaving a single trace as to where he went.
I was close to completing my first academic year at uni, I only a few months left to go.
The drive was long from school to my house so I was looking forward to the summer where I could sleep in and go to the office where I worked part time as an interior designer.
I had always loved design, and my plan was to always do it on the side, because it was something I was really good at. But my overall ambition was to research psychology, to find cures for mental illnesses, council people who have been through traumatic experiences, to understand how the brain works.
I remember that particular drive home. It was so hot, I had all the windows open in my car, the air conditioning on full blast and I just wanted to get home as quick as possible because my house was always cool. The perfect temperature for me.
My fiancé would be there, he had a day off and I'd forgotten to tell him that I would be home early today because the professors had a training session, I thought we could go out for dinner or watch a movie or go swimming in the pool outside with ice cold drinks to make the heat more bearable.
Boy was I wrong.
I got out of the car and stepped inside the house, which was cool, as I had expected it to be. I checked the living room and the kitchen before wondering upstairs to dump my things in our shared room.
