''Ashton. Stop walking so fast.'' I said, as I tried to keep up with Ashton's fast pace, with my bare feet.

He didn't respond, and instead he picked up his pace.

''Ashton!'' I yelled, but he ignored me.

''Fine! I'll just go back to Josepf! At least he would fucking care about me having bare feet!'' I yelled, before turning around, and begining to walk.

Suddenly I was turned around, as I was staring into Ashton's angry eyes.

''Stop acting like such a fucking brat! We need to get back to camp, and you being a whiny little bitch, isn't helping at all!'' He yelled, his eyes burning.

Then I slapped him.

''Don't you fucking dare call me a whiny bitch! I am anything but that! For the 7 months I've known you, you have only been nice to me for about freaking 5 days! I'm sick of you treating me like shit! I did absolutely nothing to you! You finally started treating me nicely, and now, for no fucking reason, you began treating me like shit again!'' I yelled, seeing how he was rubbing his cheek and jaw.

I then rolled my eyes, before starting to walk again, just wanting to get back to camp, so I could get my stuff and get back home, get things settled with James, and hopefully still be able to marry him the end of this month.

I could hear Ashton walking behind me, but I didn't want to talk to him.

-

I looked up at the night sky, taking a deep breath.

I then looked back down at the small bonfire, feeling the heat on my skin.

I looked over at Ashton, who had his back towards me.

How freaking childish could he get-

I rolled my eyes, before turning my back towards him, and trying to fall asleep.

-

I didn't sleep at all.

No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't sleep.

I looked up at the light blue sky, and got up from where I was laying.

I looked over, and saw that Ashton was still sleeping.

I packed my stuff in slience, before walking over and gently pushing Ashton, till he woke up.

I then walked back over to my bags and picked them up.

-

We had been walking for a while, and I was feeling so hot.

I was sweating, and just really wanted to drown in a cold lake right now.

As if my thoughts had been answered, a lake soon appeared in front of me, and I quickly threw my bags, before running to the water, and jumping in.

God that felt nice.

-

''Wait. Ashton. What is that on your shirt...?'' I asked, seeing a weird spot on his shirt.

''No time for jokes Hemmings.'' He said, before continuing to walk.

''No. I'm serious.'' I said, before stopping him, and lifting his shirt, noticing a bullet wound at his hip.

Not at a place that would do him any harm.

''You've been shot.'' I said.

He looked down, and his eyes widened, when he saw it.

''Lay down. I need to check it.'' I said, and was happy when he actually did as I said.

''Fuck it hurts!'' Ashton pulled his body away from my hands, not wanting me to touch his wound.

''God you're such a baby. It's only a flesh wound.'' I said, and rolled my eyes, before pulling his body over and looking at his wound again.

''I need to get the bullet out.'' I was about to try and take it out, only to have Ashton push me away.

''Don't touch me! I'll get it removed when we get back to camp.''He said, rolling his eyes.

Ashton was about to sit up, only to have me push him back down again.

''And get an infection. Well if that's what you want, then I'll let you walk away. But I'm warning you. It's gonna hurt like hell, and if you're unlucky, you want be able to be in the army any more. But well. That's not my business right?''I said simply, looked at him. I then stood up and started to walk.

''Wait. Luke. Luke! Urgh! Please!''He yelled after me, sounding hopeless.

I ignored him, until hearing the 'please' leave Ashton's mouth.

I walked back over to Ashton, dropping down on my knees, looking at the wound.

''I'm gonna have to use some of the water we have left...'' I saw the unhappy look on Ashton's face, since we didn't have much water left, but grabbed the bottle anyway.

I took the knife from Ashton's belt, cutting a long strip off my shirt and a smaller piece, that was rather clean after I jumped into that lake.

I put the knife back, and poured a small amount of the water on the small piece of fabric, before carefully dabbing it around the wound, to clean it from all the blood and dirt.

''This is probably gonna hurt like hell, since I don't have any morfin, since you didn't think that would be a good idea, and only slow us down.'' I said and gave Ashton a knowing look.

I was about to stick my fingers in the wound, when a hand stopped me.

''Can... Can I hold your hand...?''Ashton asked, looking into my eyes.

He looked like he was in so much pain, and I didn't hesitate, before grabbing Ashton's hand, with the one I wouldn't need.

I felt sparks run up my arm, but ignored it.

''I'm gonna count down from three, and on one, I will remove the bullet okay?'' I asked and looked up at Ashton who nodded, closing his eyes.

''Four.... Three.''I counted down, looking at the wound.

And with that I pulled out the bullet, making Ashton gasp, and then scream in pain.

''Why would you do that!?'' I had a bit of trouble holding Ashton down, so I ended up sitting in Ashton's lap, making him shut up instantly.

I held wet piece of fabric against his wound, shushing him, while trying to stop the bleeding.

''If I pulled it out on one, you would have flexed your muscles, trying to 'remove' the pain, and I would probably have caused you more harm than help.'' I explained, seeing that it nearly stopped bleeding.

I then succeeded in wrapping the longer piece of fabric around Ashton's torso, tying a tight knot on the end, before standing up.

''There. Good as new.'' I said, and then walked over to the small water hole beside us, and rinsed my hands.

''Here.'' I said, and walked over, laying the bullet in the palm of Ashton's hand.

''No. You keep it.'' Ashton returned it to me, before standing up and grabbing some of the bags.

''Take the rest of the bags. We need to get going if we want to get back to camp.'' I nodded, looking at the bullet, before putting it in my pocket, and grabbing the bags, following Ashton.
