''I hate my work.'' I mumbled into Charlie's chest, as we were all alone in the house, since Ashton had Elliot this weekend.
It's been three months since the whole gun episode.
Charlie doesn't know about anything with the gun thing, but everything else he knows.
I just don't want him to worry about me.
''Well... You're on your weekend now, so no work for you.'' Charlie said, rubbing my back.
I smiled softly, before raising myself onto my elbows to look at him.
''I love you...'' I whispered, before leaning down and kissing him.
The kiss soon turned into a heated one, and before I knew it we were having sex on the couch.
Not that I'm complaining.
Charlie is like a sex god.
''Fuck... I love you too...'' Charlie said breathlessly, as I leaned down, kissing him one last time, before limping towards the bathroom.
I turned on the shower, feeling at peace with my life.
I was finally begining to like how my life has turned out.
Yeah. It was rough, to get to where I am...
But it was worth it.
-
Sunday, there was a knock on the door.
Charlie was at work already, but I'm okay with that.
He needs to take care of his job too anyway.
I got up from the bed, and pulled on a pair of boxers and some pyjama pants, and walked downstairs, running a hand through my hair.
I opened the door, to see Ashton standing in the door, with Elliot in his arms.
''Morning...'' I said, yawning slightly.
Ashton smiled at me shortly, before he walked inside, Elliot's bags and such on his back.
''Uhm... Have you eaten breakfast yet...?'' I asked, after Ashton had put the bags in Elliot's room.
''Yeah.. About four hours ago.'' Ashton said, before he walked over to Elliot again, looking at him as if he placed the sun.
I smiled shortly, before begining to make breakfast.
Or rather brunch.
Isn't that what they call it?
I don't know.
''Where is Charlie?'' Ashton suddenly asked, as he was playing with Elliot.
''He's at work...There's some new big case going on...'' I replied, as I looked at the toast on the pan.
''Oh... '' Ashton said, before playing with Elliot again.
I sighed deeply, before going back to making the toast.
-
''I'm home...!'' I heard Charlie yell through the house, as the front door closed.
I stood up from where I was sat on the floor, and walked out, laying my arms around Charlie.
''Hey... Did you have a good day...?'' I asked, rubbing his back lightly, as he kissed me lightly.
''Well... It became a lot better when I saw your face.'' He whispered, before kissing my cheek.
''Oh and... Ashton is still here... He's playing with Elliot in the living room...'' I said, and saw how Charlie became slightly confused, but also looked angry.
''Don't worry... He hasn't done anything other than play with Elliot and eat lunch with us... He hasn't put a hand on either Elliot or me, in any bad ways.'' I said, holding Charlie's hand, kissing his knuckles softly.
''Has he touched you... In that way...?'' Charlie asked, sounding sad all of a sudden.
''No. He hasn't. Believe me. If he did, I would probably throw him out of the house.'' I said, turning Charlie back around so he was looking at me.
''I love you, and you only...'' I whispered, before kissing him softly.
Charlie let out a relieved sigh against my lips, as he pulled me closer.
''And I love you. And you only.'' Charlie whispered, before kissing my forehead.
We then walked into the living room together, where Ashton was still playing with Elliot.
I smiled shortly, and sat down in the sofa, Charlie sitting beside me.
''I have work tomorrow...'' I groaned softly against Charlie's chest, and we almost laid on the sofa, cuddled together.
''So do I...'' Charlie whispered, rubbing my back.
I looked up at him, nodding my head slightly towards Ashton, as if to ask if we should ask Ashton to take care of him, if he could of course.
I looked back over at Ashton after Charlie had nodded, and was about to ask Ashton, when the phone suddenly rang.
I stood up and answered the phone, seeing it was Michael.
''What's up.'' I asked, turning my back to the others.
''Hey. Uhm listen. I know I'm telling you this rather late, but Calum and I have just been... A little... Scared I guess... But uhm... Daisy has cancer.'' Michael said, and he sounded on the edge of tears.
I took a deep breath, before walking to the kitchen, and closing the door behind me.
''How bad is it...?'' I asked, just hoping that they would be able to keep their little baby girl.
''Well... We uhm... She needs to have a tumor removed, that is pressing against her heart... Calum and I have done everything we could to get the money. But it's still not enough. I'm not ready to lose my little baby girl.'' Michael cried into the phone, and I felt tears in my eyes.
''How much is the surgery?'' I asked, finding something to write down on.
''Her surgery will cost 50.000 and... Then her medicine. We don't have those money. We can't even pay for the surgery.'' Michael said, and sob following afterwards.
I wrote something down on the paper, taking a deep breath.
''Listen Michael... Don't fight me on this... I... I'll pay for her surgery. And I'll help with the medicine. As a thank you for how much you guys have helped me... Both with the pregnancy and with James. So Don't fight me on this. It's my thank you, to you guys.'' I said, hearing Michael let out another painful sob, sending tears to my eyes.
''Thank you so much Luke. I love you, and so does Calum. You mean a lot to us. You really do. I can't thank you enough for all the things you've done. You bailed Calum out when I couldn't, and now you're helping with Daisy's surgery. Thank you.'' Michael whispered, after he had calmed down a little.
''Anything for you guys. And besides. I got a hot boyfriend out of it so it's a win-win.'' I said, hearing Michael let out a laugh.
-
Okay so if you're confused.
It's early october, meaning that Elliot is almost two years old.
Michael and Calum's kid, Daisy is three months old.
Luke started as the CEO after the summer break.
