Bianca forced the boys to sit down and explain. Well she actually guided Nico to a chair and glared at Will once more daring him to give non other than the truth.
"I didn't know we were on a date," Will confessed. A huge wait felt like it lifted off his chest. Nico would forgive him now that he knew the truth.
Nico bit his lip nodding. "I understand." He moved to his feet and began to walk out of the room.
Will caught his arm before he was able to leave. "Wait... you don't forgive me?"
Nico stopped recoiling at Will's touch. "It's a lot to take in Will... I'll forgive you on my own time."
Will nodded the heavy wait returning and settling on his chest ten times harder than before. "Okay," Will said dejectedly and released Nico's wrist.

Nico missed the next week of school after their meeting at Will's house. He spent the days hauled up in his room music blasting through the walls.
"Nico at least come out to shower," Bianca tried again one day when she was passing his room.
He didn't respond.
"Neeks? Mom wouldn't want this."
The door creaked open. "Come in," Nico ordered hollowly.
Bianca bit her lip but obeyed and entered.
"Could you turn off that music please," Bianca asked, her face filled with distaste.
Nico rolled his eyes then pressed a button on his phone making the music more silent, but not completely offing it.
Bianca smiled satisfied with the change and stared at Nico, now quite unsure what to do.
Silently Nico sat on his bed, leaving Bianca standing in front of him.
"I want to forgive him you know," he said absently not making direct eye contact with his sister. "I want to so bad but . . . I can't."
Bianca smiled and picked up Nico's phone from his bedside table. She switched it on and quickly typed in the passcode (it was his favorite Italian profanity). "Talk to him," she said and opened the contact app then handed him the phone. "Its the first step to getting back to where you were."
Nico stared at the phone and after Bianca left the room he sent Will a message.
Hi
It was a simple word. A small two lettered word. Yet it was the word that would set them on the road back to happiness.

It took Will only a minute to squeal and laugh of relief before he quickly replied.
Hey

You don't have to be anymore

Really?
This isn't Bianca tricking me or something?

Nico sent laughing slightly at Will's question.

Will smiled and laid back on his bed his phone clutched in his hand. Things were finally getting back to normal.
