A/N: Today was not a good day.

****

As they ascended the stairs leading to her apartment, the male took her carefully manicured hands on his and kissed her knuckles, which caused the golden-haired female to smile. His angel, he thought.

In his other hand, he carried a basket filled to the brim with an array of delicious pastries. The smell of the baked goods filled the surrounding atmosphere with it's mouth-watering scent.

The loving female hoped that you had been alright on your own. She had checked in on you several times during the day, but you had been asleep when she had and by no means was she going to awaken you from your peaceful slumber.

If you had finally stirred, then you would undoubtedly by hungry, which was when the female and male had brought you a variety of treats for you to consume.

Prehaps Graves and Tina would want another pastry? She considered the idea for a moment, mentally noting to keep a couple of bear claws by for her sister and friend.

They finally reached the apartment door. With a wave of her wand, the locked clicked open and into the small libing space they were.

Whilst the kind male took that basket into the kitchen, the delicate yet resilient female made her way to your temporary bedroom.

"(Y/N)," she knocked softly. No reply.

Gently, she pushed open the door and expected to find you either awake or asleep.

You were nowhere to be seen.

Your bed was empty.

The sheets, thrown back in a clumsy attempt at escape.

You had run away.
