When He Still Cares

He watched from the back of the building, making sure to stay hidden beneath his temporary invisibility cloak.

He watched as you smiled at your new partner, your eyes lighting up as you gazed at your beloved. You had looked at him like that once upon a time.

He watched as you exchanged rings and vows. He considered what he would have said, had he been the one marrying you.

He watched as you were officially pronounced married. The crowd cheering and whooping, throwing confetti in to the air in celebration.

He watched as you and your (husband/wife), ran up the aisle, hand in hand. You were both showered in more glitter, petals, rice and confetti.

He watched as you walked straight passed him, knowing that even without the cloak on, you wouldn't have noticed his presence. Why would you? He was but a mere ghost with nowhere to haunt. Despite being his everything, he was nothing to you.

Newt Scamander still loved you but your heart now belonged elsewhere.
